Delta is running another of its flash sales that gives you a rare opportunity to get good value for your SkyMiles while flying in comfort.
Some of the purported deals are laughably poor, but there is a diamond in the rough: one way tickets between the US and Taipei in business class from 115,000 SkyMiles. That price will drop even further if you have an eligible Delta credit card.

The lowest pricing I found in Delta One were one way flights from Los Angeles to Taipei from 115,000 SkyMiles. Here’s the availability in April; as you can see, it’s pretty good:
Availability is decent from the east coast too. For example, here’s April again, this time from JFK from 125,000 SkyMiles one way.
If you have a consumer or business Amex Delta Gold, Platinum, or Reserve card, you get a 15% discount on award flights. That makes a 115,000 mile redemption drop to 97,750 miles, while a 125,000 mile redemption will get reduced to 106,250.
This award sale is due to end on December 18 at 11:59pm ET, but I’d book ASAP if you’re interested in case availability dries up in the meantime.

I guess I was too late. Seeing only as low as 195K for D1 one-way LAX-TPE. Still a decent deal, since cash price is like $2,919 one-way. Gotta stop in SEA, though (nice opportunity to try out the new D1 lounge there.)
I think you’ll get access to both the SEA Delta One Lounge as well as the LAX Delta One Lounge since you have a same day boarding pass in Delta One. Two birds, one stone lounge hop.
