Rove has been one of the most interesting companies in the points and miles space this year. From launching a new transferable points program, to offering rewards for hotel bookings that are – in effect – booked directly with the hotel chain, to awarding a generous number of miles for other hotel bookings, and more, they’ve been a welcome addition.
Following the demise of Mesa last week, Rove has now launched a very smart campaign that’s awarding up to 5,000 bonus Rove Miles for affected members.

The Deal
- Earn up to 5,000 bonus Rove Miles when taking advantage of the Match Your Mesa promotion.
- Direct link to offer.
- If you’re not already a Rove member, here’s the Frequent Miler referral link; this should earn you an additional 500 bonus miles just for signing up.
Key Terms
- Total promotion capped at 2 million miles.
- Miles post within two weeks of verification.
Quick Thoughts
This is a nice, straightforward promotion. If you have any Mesa points still in your account that you weren’t able to transfer out or use towards statement credits, Rove is offering to match up to 5,000 of them.
All you have to do is upload a screenshot of your current Mesa rewards balance, as well as a copy of your most recent statement. I’m assuming that means the statement of your Mesa Homeowners Card, so if you’d managed to earn rewards with Mesa solely via referring people to the card/program, you might be out of luck with this Rove match.
Still, getting up to 5,000 free miles with Rove is a great way for the company to endear itself to people disappointed with how Mesa ended up.

Until Rove goes under… then BILT can step-in to offer 250 points… then it’ll go under, too.
And the fact that this is limited to just 400 people is lame… (2,000,000/5,000)
From the link:
“What will 5,000 Rove Miles get you? That’s 56 flights to Europe using Rove’s exclusive transfer partner Miles&More.”
Is that right, 56 flights?
LH economy to Europe is like 88 miles each way, iirc, so i guess that’s what they’re referring to.
Lufthansa Miles & More does have 88 mile flights (plus taxes & fees) every so often, so that is true. The realistic expectation of being able to book 56 flights at 88 miles apiece is questionable, but again – smart marketing!
I just filled this out. My question is if pending miles count…
Luckily my miles are stuck in limbo showing they’ve been redeemed, but not actually showing up as received by the transfer partner, Omni.
