Best Buy is offering a bonus promotional gift card with the purchase of a Marriott gift card. The bonus card varies in value from $15 to $75, depending on the size of the Marriott card you buy. This could be a great deal for those who have been procrastinating on the Citi Strata Elite splurge credits.

Quick Thoughts
The Best Buy gift card here isn’t an amazing value as it amounts to 15% or less of the face value of the Marriott gift card. We typically see a few opportunities each year to buy Marriott gift cards at a 20% discount over face value, whether through a direct sale or (more commonly) using a card-linked offer at a hotel front desk.
That said, if you have an upcoming Marriott stay, this could certainly be a nice way to save a bit in the form of some free Best Buy promotional credit. Marriott gift cards can be used worldwide (I recently wrote about my own experience using them abroad in this post).
I imagine that this deal will be particularly appealing to Citi Strata Elite cardholders who have not yet used their 2025 Splurge Credit. Those cardholders could select Best Buy and purchase two $100 Marriott gift cards, netting $30 in Best Buy promotional gift cards for $0 after statement credit. Some people may alternatively have other card-linked offers for Best Buy.
We used my wife’s splurge credit at Best Buy just a few days ago, but this deal makes me wish we had waited. Sometimes, good things come to those who wait.

I was about to go to Best Buy to use my splurge credit to purchase a Best Buy gift card. If I buy the BB gift card online, the credit still works? Could I stack with a Citi offer for 3% back? (I have a BB purchase coming up, but not a Marriott one)
