In the past, there were often opportunities to buy Southwest gift cards for 10% off or more. Those deals are few and far between nowadays, so this 8% discount is pretty good in comparison to what’s usually available. Update: JRG reminded me in the comments that if you have a DoorDash DashPass subscription (which is available for free at the moment via many Chase cards), you can buy $250 Southwest gift cards for $225, with a limit of four each month.
