Similar to some United cardholders getting upgrade offers, some Southwest cardholders are also being targeted for similar – albeit not quite as generous – upgrade offers.
The Deals
- Some Chase Southwest cardholders are being targeted for the following upgrade offers:
- Earn 5,000 bonus points when you upgrade to the Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card and make your first purchase by April 30, 2026.
- Earn 5,000 bonus points when you upgrade to the Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card and make your first purchase by April 30, 2026.
- Earn 10,000 bonus points when you upgrade to the Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card and make your first purchase by April 30, 2026.
Quick Thoughts
With the United offers, you can earn 15,000 bonus miles or a $150 statement credit. By comparison, these Southwest upgrade offers aren’t as generous seeing as only 5,000 or 10,000 Rapid Rewards points are on offer.
That said, if you were interested in upgrading your card anyway in order to obtain more benefits, earning some bonus points along the way – if targeted – is a nice little bonus to have. It’s also good that you only need to make one purchase by the end of April after upgrading in order to earn the bonus Rapid Rewards points; some of the United upgrade offers require $1,500 of spend.
