WHOOP is a wearable fitness tracker, kind of a cross between Oura Rings and Fitbit. The American Express Platinum Card® offers a $200 annual credit toward Oura Ring purchases, and now Chase is responding in kind by offering an almost free year of WHOOP’s “Life” membership to Sapphire Reserve® cardholders.
The promo is listed in the “Chase Offers” section of your online account and requires registration before your purchase.

The Deal
- Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders can now receive $359 back after purchasing one year of WHOOP’s Life Membership
- Must activate the offer before completing purchase
- The cost for one year is $359, so any cost above that is out of pocket
- Includes WHOOP MG wearable device with band and wireless charger
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® have an offer for $100 off the same service
- Referral discounts can be stacked with the Chase Offer
- Offer expires 5/12/26

- WHOOP referrals give each side a $29 credit (the cost of one month’s service), and they can be stacked with the Chase Offer’s credit. The referrer gets a free month added to their subscription. If you use a referral, ensure the final price is at least $359, or you may not trigger the offer.
If you don’t have a referral link, feel free to use mine, with my thanks!

Quick Thoughts
I’d never even heard of WHOOP until yesterday, when Chase announced the offer. Unlike American Express, whose Oura credit is a yearly card benefit, this appears to be a one-off for Sapphire Reserve cardholders. On the flip side, it covers the full annual cost of the device and membership, unlike Amex.
I’m not a big fan of fitness devices in general, let alone those that charge a subscription fee and don’t store your data locally. Despite that, I’m going to give it a shot for a year just to see.
If you decide to do this, make sure you activate the Chase offer before visiting the site to make your purchase. I haven’t seen the account setup yet, but I assume there’s a way to turn off auto-renew, which you’ll also want to do to avoid an unwanted second-year charge.

I’ve had Whoop for a week now, so I’m not paying too much attention to it yet, letting it learn my patterns and calibrate. The positives so far that it is truly very light and not invasive, making it really easy to wear all day. Battery life is amazing, I charged it to 100% before starting, and 6-7 days later it’s at 66%. I do take it off when showering, other than that I wear it all the time. I picked up a nice tip from someone that it makes sense to charge it while it’s off during shower time. Other than this, I’m looking forward to start getting some meaningful statistics, but so far I’m not convinced I’ll get a lot of value. If I did not have enough sleep, I already know it myself 🙂 Gotta figure out what real value I can get off Whoop.
If I sign up for the CSR today, would i still get access to this offer?
I have had whoop for 6 years and love it. I already pay for whoop life and I used this credit to EXTEND my membership another 12 months. It credited the full $359.
For full disclosure, you are off the hook for shipping (8.99$) and tax (30.36$) on top of the $359 credit…so it’s not exactly free, free! 🙂
Where are you shipping to? It should be free.
Texas
I used promo code STEVO at checkout and it saved me $30 off shipping and taxes
I have a CSR personal, but not seeing the offer. Any idea how to get that to show up?
I do not see it either: from all the coverage, you would have thought it was not targeted, but it seems to be.
Whoop-de-doo.
I’ve been cracking up at this comment far too much
So pleased. The recording of my points and miles comedy hour special is going to go Platinum Pro!
I think you might change the perceived value of the whoop credit after you’ve had it for a year. I love mine !!
I’m not interested. I don’t want to purchase any product or service that offers a “Life Membership” but then, in the same breath, determines my life expectancy to be only one year.
Note that the offer states must “spend $359 or more, including taxes and after any discounts.” So depending on your sales tax and any shipping, you may have to add something else (accessory, etc) to bring the total back to $359 if using the referral discount.
Wow! Did I just make a big blunder? Didn’t really see that part and my total was $357.84. I will be very intrested to see when people start getting there credits. You have got me a bit nervous at this point. Really hate to have just totaly thrown away $350!
Don’t know if it’s a blunder, but thought this was important to highlight since the post did not. That one line in the details under the pic is easy to miss.
Use promo code AF2BC0 at checkout
Thank you!!! That got my total down to $370.18!
For people who don’t already have whoop, TJ maxx is selling whoop 4.0 for $26 (in the glass case in the men’s department). If you buy this first it comes with a year of membership and then you can upgrade and use the Chase credit and get 2 years of membership
Could you give details of the upgrade cost? I’m not already a member and can’t see it, just the $599 for 2yrs for the 5.0 MG. Like, is it the Life level for 2 years, is it $359 exactly or what?
I am assuming OP means
yr 1 from buying through TJ maxx
yr 2 when paying using the chase offer
Hi Tim, I have a code. How do I email you?
Not available for the CSR Business card 🙁
That was my question. Thanks.
If this happens you don’t get the full refund?
Mine was not split, FYI. It shows the full pending charge.
