Here’s yet another reminder why it’s worth browsing websites with the Capital One Shopping browser extension installed when you’re planning on making a purchase. I’ve gotten several targeted emails in recent days with some superb offers including $300 back on a $650+ Homes & Villas by Marriott booking.

Quick Thoughts
I received the email about the Homes & Villas by Marriott offer the same day that I’d clicked through to their website to double check the terms of a promotion. Similarly, the Caesars Rewards offer came through within 24 hours (possibly sooner) after visiting the site to check out some other kind of offer.
These are some truly excellent promotions which will likely be far more generous than anything you’d earn through another portal unless you were booking a very expensive stay and another portal had a very high earning rate itself.
Note that the terms of these lump sum offers state that there’s a limit of one email bonus per user. It’s not entirely clear what they mean by that, but I’m assuming that it means that you can only earn one of these large lump sum bonuses. As a result, if you’re interested in more than one of the offers that you’re targeted for, I’d start off with the most rewarding one just in case.

I hadn’t notice the “Exclusive Email Bonus” language but I now see it on a Virgin Atlantic offer I got. Very tricky.
Go this offer – yesterday I did the viator 50% off – I was charged full price, when will I see the 50% of on my bill? Not sure how this works . Maybe if you guys could explain the process on getting the discount. I did use my Cap 1 card just in case it needed to be used.
Capital One Shopping is not a very intuitive site but Nick wrote a great tutorial on all things Capital One Shopping. https://frequentmiler.com/capital-one-shopping-complete-guide/ The 50% will show up as a credit that can be used for gift cards. In my experience it usually posts as pending within a couple of days but can take weeks for the credit to pay out.
I learned the hard way recently about 1 offer type limit recently. Had $200 back from $240 on Hotels.com, $240 back from $300 on expedia last weekend. I did both, and then also found a $50 back on $50 instacart, so thought I hit the jackpot. Two days later, only the instacart one codes… Too good to be true, indeed.
