Wife (no United status) just got the Chase United Business Explorer. You say:
⚬ Improved saver award availability ⚬ Last seat standard award availability ⚬
yet I see no difference between her searches and mine where I have no United card and no status. Is there any benefits that I am unable to find?
When did she get the card? Maybe it isn’t reflected in her United account yet?
She will have to log in when searching to see the expanded space and she will only see it on United flights. When she searches a route with expanded space, she’ll see a bunch of results that say in bold black italics under the flight info something to the effect of “You see this additional space since you’re a Chase United credit card holder” (worded more eloquently).
Keep in mind that not every route will have additional saver space, so try a few routes / sets of dates to see what I’m talking about.
She only got the card 3 days ago, though almost spent the $3,000 already
Maybe United isn’t aware yet, though she did get her 2 lounge passes already.
I am looking up only business class. Also she has almost no UA miles right now, so maybe that could be an issue though I doubt it.
Unfortunately it only works for economy flights and only those flown by United
Oh well, still 50K bonus. Maybe we can use the lounge passes, though we have so many Priority Pass cards and we fly only Business on long distance and short distances we seldom have much of a layover. Probably a card to keep though we have 18 Chase cards between us. .
Perhaps you should change “Last seat standard award availability” to “Last seat standard award availability in economy on United metal”
Thanks.
I tried refer a friend as my husband and I have this card. Trying to get this card for my son. When I request the referral it says it’s not available at this time. (the referral) Any idea how I can get the points for the referral when he opens the card? Thanks!!!
Kim, unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible when Chase isn’t offering referral bonuses.
Greg, send me your referral and I’ll be happy to use your referral!

I was targeted with a 75K after $5K in spending offer.
