Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is almost done! The last two weeks Greg, Nick, and Stephen competed to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines. But who completed the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
American Airlines is currently holding a fare sale between several U.S. cities and Bogota, Colombia. Roundtrip fares are as low as $224 and can be found for select dates this Fall and next Spring.
Fly to Bogota from:
- Newark
- Washington D.C.
- San Francisco
- Houston
- Denver
- Cleveland
I was able to find fares in the sub-$250 range for a wide variety of dates on many of the routes above. These fares most likely won’t last long.

Outstanding price. But.
Bogota’s nice, but not usually in November and December when it’s chilly and you can wear out a cheap raincoat in a week. That time of year, transfer quickly to Medellin for about $20USD on VivaColombia. You want to fly a lot in Colombia. Buses on the two-lane roads common in the mountains average less than 20 mph and it’s a very, very big country.
Was just down in BOG for Memorial Day. Flew DEN-PTY-CTG-BOG. Would absolutely recommend BOG and CTG. BOG is a massive city. Great people and food. If anyone has time down there to spend a night or two in CTG, I would highly recommend it.
