The AAdvantage eShopping portal is offering enhanced rates for a number of stores today. Here are a few examples:
- BackCountry 10X
- Elizabeth Arden 10X
- Levi’s 12X
- Lord & Taylor 12X
- Saks.com 15X
At the same time, the portal is offering holiday bonus miles for cumulative purchases made through 11/26/15 at 11:59:59 pm ET, as follows:
- $150 cumulative spend = 450 bonus miles (3X)
- $550 cumulative spend = 2000 bonus miles (3.6X)
- $1,200 cumulative spend = 5,000 bonus miles (4.2X)
It’s also worth noting that the Discover It card’s 4th quarter 5% bonus category includes department stores and clothing stores. So, you could shop through the AAdvantage eShopping portal, but pay with your Discover card to maximize rewards.
Note that you do not have to pay with an AAdvantage credit card to earn rewards from the AAdvantage eShopping portal.

What about gift cards? Have there been any problems getting the Holiday portal bonus when the main purchase is gift cards?
In my experience, as long as the gift card purchase results in portal rewards (they don’t always), then it should count for the holiday bonus
Does the use of coupon codes invalidate cartera portal pay outs? I looked in the lab and didn’t find anything conclusive. I’m looking at saks and levi’s.
In my experience, coupon codes are fine to use, but you’re right that we don’t have data on that. Personally, I always chance it. Save at your own risk.
