The Alaska Airlines shopping portal has kicked off the month with a new promotion offering up to 1,000 bonus miles. This is one of the easier shopping portals to hit spending thresholds with thanks to its card-linked in-store offer program counting towards eligible spend in addition to online purchases.

Quick Thoughts

As would be expected, online purchases of $100 or $400 will earn the 400 or 1,000 bonus Mileage Plan miles respectively. The portal also has more than 75 stores at which you can earn bonus miles when paying with a linked card in-store, with that spend also counting towards those spending thresholds.

Kind of related but not, has anyone checked the hotel partners with Alaska Airlines? There are some insane earns there.

For example a night at Indigo Downtown in LA is $179…. the earn… 4000 points!!!

Or a night at the LEVEL hotel ins Down LA is $269… would earn you 6000 points!!

Is this a known sweet spot that I just found out late in the game?

Powered by RocketMiles, I assume? They have been popular with free agents in recent years on the AA side because of the LP earnings.

Only AS and Delta this time? 😉

I was hoping the AA portal would also join this round.
