Bilt Rent Day: 50% Bonus When Redeeming on Amazon (October 1 Only)

Bilt Rewards has announced its Rent Day promos for October. The headliner of the monthly promotion is that Bilt members can get up to a 50% bonus towards redeeming points for Amazon purchases.

That sounds great on the surface, but Bilt Rewards normally redeem at 0.7 cents each at Amazon, so even the 50% bonus for Platinum members will push it to only 1.05 cents, well below our Reasonable Redemption Value of 1.55 cents each for Bilt Points.

There is also a targeted promotion for some Bilt members that will give them up to a 75% bonus when using their Bilt points to pay for rent. Those who have access to it will be able to take advantage of the bonus between 9/25 and 10/1, and will receive a credit to use with a future rent payment.

Like Amazon, Bilt points that are redeemed for rent are worth well under 1 cent each, so even those targeted for a 75% bonus will likely find it a lackluster way to use their stash.

Bilt Rent Day Deals for October

• Bilt members will get a 20%-50% bonus when redeeming Bilt points for Amazon purchases on October 1st.
  • Bonus rates depend on status in the Bilt Rewards program:
    • Blue = 20% bonus
    • Silver = 30% bonus
    • Gold = 40% bonus
    • Platinum = 50%  bonus
  • Must link your Bilt account with your Amazon account before making purchases. If it’s already linked, there’s no need to relink it.
• Also, earn double points on the Bilt Mastercard in all categories (up to 1,000 bonus points) on 10/1/25 only:
  • Dining – 6x points (normally 3x)
  • Travel – 4x points (normally 2x)
  • All other spend excluding rent – 2x points (normally 1x)
• “Rent Free” Game Show
  • In the Bilt app under the Rent Day tab, members can guess the top three answers to questions that were asked to 1,000 Bilt members.

    • Top 10 entries chosen get free rent (up to $2,500), next 100 get 1,000 Bilt points, and the next 500 get 100 Bilt points

Quick Thoughts

Unfortunately, Bilt’s standard rate for Amazon redemptions is a measly 0.7 cents each. Because of that, the promo will only elevate them to somewhere between .84 and 1.05 cents of value towards Amazon purchases, well below what could be had by transferring the points to travel partners.

There might be folks out there who have millions of Bilt Points to burn. For them, the opportunity to redeem some of them for Amazon purchases at ~1 cent each could be appealing. For the rest of us with more modest balances, it probably won’t move the needle much…and shouldn’t.

That said, the normal 2x Rent Day on the 1st makes it the ideal time to hit your 5 transaction minimum to earn points on rent and/or all of your card purchases, so don’t forget to bust it out if you’re a cardholder.
