The Capital One Shopping is again offering 8% cash back at GiftCards.com via both the Capital One Shopping app and Capital One Offers. Capital One Offers is the shopping portal that is accessed through your online Capital One account, whereas the shopping app is only available on mobile devices (the desktop site does not show the 8% offer).
It is possible that this deal is targeted or that you must sign in to the app to activate it. Either way, this can be a solid deal if it tracks properly.
Do be aware that cashback earned via Capital One shopping can only be redeemed in the form of 3rd party gift cards, not as actual cash back.

Terms and Conditions
- Shopping credits are not eligible on orders using a gift card as payment.
- Credits will be issued on up to $2,000.00 dollars worth of purchases per month.
- To earn the rebate, you must be a Capital One credit cardholder, logged in to your account on capitalone.com or the Capital One Mobile app, and pay for a qualifying purchase using an eligible Capital One credit card.
- You will receive your rebate as a statement credit to your Capital One credit card account within 3 billing cycles.
- In the event you have more than one Capital One credit card, we may apply the statement credit to any active credit card account that is open and in good standing.
- To make a qualifying purchase, you must click the button above, and then complete a purchase at the selected merchant’s site, in the window opened by the Capital One Offers tile, within 24 hours, using your eligible Capital One credit card. Offer is not valid by any other method.
- Use of other coupons, cash back, or promotional websites after selecting an offer and before making a purchase will invalidate your offer. Offer is not valid in-person or by telephone, and in-store pickup does not constitute a qualifying purchase. Purchases made without first being redirected by a Capital One Offers tile are not qualifying purchases.
Quick Thoughts
8% back on some brands could be a good deal on its own, though I imagine that most interest will be in Visa or Mastercard gift cards. Previous versions of this offer seemed to track fairly well, but some past comments at Doctor of Credit indicated difficulty. All of my own purchases through the Capital One Shopping portal have tracked without issue.
Note the terms specify that, in order to receive the credit, the purchase must be paid for with a Capital One card. There is a 1.5% Citi merchant offer out right now that theoretically could be used in concert with this 8% Capital One offer, but YMMV if it will track since it’s not a C1 card.

My last C1 email offer for giftcards.com did not track despite clicking on their email link directly through to giftcards.com and making the purchase. I had written off that portal, but 8% is enticing. What tracking success are others having?
My orders have tracked 100% of the time via the app. I’m still hesitant on this one, though.
