CC Galore highlights that Capital One Shopping, the public shopping portal that is branded with Capital One’s name but does not require a Capital One card or account, has added back a popular redemption option: Walmart gift cards.

The Deal

Quick Thoughts

Capital One Shopping is known for its sometimes incredibly generous payouts (upwards of 30% at popular merchants). The “catch” is that rewards can only be redeemed for gift cards to select stores (keep in mind that Capital One Shopping is not the offers within your Capital One account but rather a separate and publicly available shopping portal. See C is for Confusion: Capital One Shopping vs Offers vs Travel Offers for more detail).

Popular redemption options include things like Safeway, eBay, Hotels.com, and DoorDash gift cards. Walmart gift cards used to be another store option, but they had taken that option away more than a year ago. It’s great to see this one come back again for those who shop regularly at Walmart as it is relatively rare otherwise to be able to score a good deal on Walmart gift cards.

Picked up a Walmart and a REI gift card. They are both saved in their respective accounts.
