Capital One Shopping and Capital One Offers have another great boosted rate for a travel site today. Klook is today’s deal of the day and, if targeted, you can earn up to 40% cashback or 40X Capital One miles when booking activities. Hotels and car rentals are eligible for boosted rewards of up to 32X as well, so it might be worth making bookings today.

Quick Thoughts
There are different earning rates depending on what you’ll be booking. On Capital One Offers, I’m seeing the following:
- 40X miles – Tours, sightseeing, activities, & experiences
- 32X miles – Hotels, car rentals, attractions, shows, attraction passes, transportation, & WiFi
- 2X miles – Special activities & Klook gift cards
- 1X miles – Universal Studios Japan Super Value Combo
Getting 32X miles for hotel and car rental bookings is a phenomenal return. Hotel stays would count as an Online Travel Agency (OTA) booking though, so they won’t earn hotel points, be eligible for elite status benefits, etc.
As a reminder, Capital One Shopping is a shopping portal that’s open to everyone. You earn cashback, but it can only be redeemed for select gift card brands.
Capital One Offers on the other hand is a shopping portal that’s only for Capital One cardholders. If you have Capital One cards that only offer cashback, you’ll earn the rewards as cashback; that’s pure cashback rather than cashback that must be redeemed for gift cards. If you have Capital One cards that earn miles, you’ll earn the rewards as miles which can make a 40X miles rate even more valuable than a 40% cashback rate if you value the miles at more than one cent per point.
To access Capital One Offers, you can find it when logging in to your Capital One account. Scroll down to the section where it says ‘Activate shopping offers’; click on ‘View all offers’ and on the next screen near the top you should see your Klook rate.
Rates are targeted through both portals. Be sure to check your emails today in case you get emails from Capital One Shopping; those email offers often provide even better rates than you might see on the Capital One Shopping website.

I purchased something that should be under ‘Attraction Pass’ category for a total of $390ish, and seeing around $90 cash back tracking for this offer. Offer was showing 29% back for that category, is there a way to see the breakdown of how Cap1 arrived to that cashback amount?
Damn I only got this in my inbox today (jul 6) so it already expired. Anyway i can subscribe to FM or any other service that sends me daily alerts of what capital one’s extra miles daily top offers are?
When you look at your offers on Capital One Shopping and card linked offers it shows you what the top deals will be for the next 5 days. You just don’t know the multiplier yet. So if it’s a store you’re interested in then just schedule an email reminder (or however you remind yourself to do things) for early that morning. Book/purchase early as sometimes the offers get worse as the day goes on.
Thanks, thats what I’ll do!
Check the price before clicking through. When I clicked through, the price went up about 5%.
Is there a maximum? I’m having a hard time finding fine print. In mobile it does not show. On desktop it says $1,000. But is that for spend or for $1,000 in rewards earned?
I think I figured it out
Earn a Max 1,000
If you’re not in a hurry click through to the offer and then wait a bit and you might get an even better one in an hour or two (as FrequentMiler has mentioned in the past) in your email. When I did on the 40% offer (and actually used it), I got an offer for 47% back an hour later by email.
Does anyone know if Disney world Orlando codes as tours, sightseeing, experiences and activities?
I recently bought 4 tickets to Disney Paris on Klook through TCB and it tracked, went pending and then got declined so it never paid out. Hopefully you’ll have better luck with Capital 1
Mine only shows 18%
UK Fm’er.
Would this work for me or do I need to be US based? Will it accept “any” US address?
Do you mean to place an order on Klook or to set up a Capital One Shopping account? I don’t think I’ve booked anything through Klook since moving to the UK, but it might be worth using a VPN to ensure it doesn’t change the Klook.com domain to a country-specific domain which might result in no portal earnings.
Both actually. But will use VPN for both just in case.
