Quick Thoughts
We’ve seen occasional Capital One Travel portal offers in the past that could get you a free hotel stay. None of these offers are that generous, but they’re worth being aware of if you’re targeted and you were planning on traveling to any of the eligible destinations and/or on the eligible airlines.
With the hotel offers, bear in mind that the bookings will be classed by the hotel as having come via an Online Travel Agency (OTA), so you won’t earn hotel points, receive elite status benefits, etc., nor earn rewards through a shopping portal. However, booking via the Capital One Travel portal will earn you up to 10x on hotels (depending on your Capital One card), so those earnings plus the offer savings listed above could help offset that.

Has anyone actually found an Air New Zealand flight that this applies to? I’ve search numerous dates, destinations, and once way vs. RT but the discount never applies.
