Card-linked, in-store offers now available via American and Delta Air Lines shopping portals

The American Airlines AAdvantage E-shopping and Delta Airlines Skymiles Shopping portals have both launched card-linked, in-store offers to earn miles while making purchases. This is a great addition that will make it even easier to accidentally trigger portal-wide shopping promotions.

Quick Thoughts

I’m a fan of more card-linked offers, so it’s great that the AA and Delta shopping portals have launched these offers. If you sync up a card or two, sometimes you’ll accidentally get lucky and trigger one of these offers without even trying. That said, you’ll probably find overlap on a lot of the stores with other portals that offer in-store rewards. You may prefer the opportunity to earn rewards in-store through another portal, like Rakuten. On the other hand, if you are chasing elite status with American Airlines or Delta Airlines, these offers might give you some additional opportunities to pick up miles and credit towards status.

As noted at the top, these in-store offers should also make it easier to trigger portal-wide promotions that require spending a minimum amount of money across all retailers during a particular window. This will give you an additional opportunity to meet the purchase requirements.

1) Do they have mobile apps? (Relevant since their FAQ suggests that offers must be readded after each use)
2) What partner/technology do they use and which card-linked programs does that imply they are mutually exclusive with?

I can’t seem to add my card there in AAshopping. Nick, were you able to add yours?

Peter

Does this stack with SimplyMiles?

Stephen Pepper

It should do
