We’ve periodically seen an offer on Chase’s Bonvoy Boundless card to earn 5 Marriott free night certificates, each valid for a night costing up to 50,000 points (though you can top off with up to 15,000 additional points per night), after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
That deal is back, but even better, as the minimum spend is only $3,000 instead of the usual $5,000. In addition, Chase has launched a new spending offer for new and current Boundless cardholders that gives them a $50 statement credit when they spend $250 with airlines between 1/1/26 and 6/3026 and another $50 statement credit after spending $250 with airlines between 7/1/26 and 12/31/26.
This offer is currently available via some referral links. If you have the capacity to do a household referral, it will add even more points to the total haul.

Chase Boundless Card spending offer
- New and current Boundless cardholders get a $50 statement credit when they spend $250 with airlines between 1/1/26 and 6/3026 and another $50 statement credit after spending $250 with airlines between 7/1/26 and 12/31/26.
Quick Thoughts
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card can easily be worth the cost of its annual fee, given the annual 35K free night certificate, which can be topped off with up to an additional 15,000 points. I have had a number of situations where a 35K certificate has gotten me a room selling for $300-$400 per night.
This offer, which we’ve seen a few times over the past couple of years, can be highly valuable, as it comes with free night certificates worth up to 50,000 points (and you can top them off with up to 15,000 additional points per night). At that level, it is very easy to find hotels that are otherwise charging more than $300 per night (and quite a bit more in some cases). That means you could get significant value from this welcome offer.
However, there are some downsides. For starters, the free night certificates are valid for 1 year from the date of issuance. Also, certificates are less flexible than points since you can’t split up a single certificate to book multiple nights.
Even still, this offer is pretty strong. Even if you only use the certificates for nights that would otherwise cost a bit less than 50K, it should be easy to get well over $1,000 in value from the welcome offer. The lowered spending requirement this time around makes it even more appealing.
It’s worth double-checking the Marriott credit card eligibility matrix before applying to be sure that you are eligible for a specific Marriott credit card:

It would be better to Link to the promo for the $50 off $250 benefit, or at least provide some sort of source rather than just mentioning it and then going on and on about every other mundane features of the card.
At the top, under the heading that says “Chase Boundless Spending Offer,” before you get to any of the other mundane details, there’s a direct link to the offer activation. It’s the big, bolded text that says “Direct Link to Offer.”
Sorry to shoot off so many questions: can you have multiple of these cards?
What’s the current state of lifetime eligibility for bonuses on this card? Same question re. referrals?
Also considering upgrading my existing Boundless to a Ritz and then applying for this via referral.
Hoping someone can help me out here: I currently have a Boundless that renews every October with the 35K cert. I also have a Brilliant that renews every May with the 85K cert finally posting in July. I’d like to upgrade the Boundless to a Ritz to get a more useful second 85K cert, when is the best time to upgrade so that an 85K Ritz cert is active as close as possible to July? Does my original October renewal date stay the same when the Boundless becomes a Ritz or does the renewal date reset based on when the upgrade is made?
I am in a similar situation. I think there was some discussion on Flyertalk on how to time this right but I can’t see to find it any more.
My understanding is that the renewal date is the date that you upgrade your card to the Ritz. If you say upgrade it in March, then your reward night will be issued in March. You do not get to keep your old card date.
Have you done this from personal experience? I posed this question elsewhere and got a completely different answer, that the renewal date stays the same.
Anyone know if using United Travelbank counts as spend for the bonus?
Ditto! Have an existing Boundless so can bank the $50+$50 for future UA spend.
I’m curious, how does one get on Frequent Miler’s friend-refferal list?
We use the team’s referral links, and if those get maxed out, then we set up a thread on our Frequent Miler Insiders Facebook page, ask for reader links, and rotate through them.
There’s still a header on this post that says “NOTICE: This post references card features that have changed, expired, or are not currently available“.
I’m assuming that should be removed? Or is there something in the text somewhere that isn’t up-to-date?
But whowants certs that expire? Give me the points!
Note that the free night certs, worth up to 50K points, can only be topped off with 15K of your own points, meaning they can only be used at properties that cost up to 65,000 points. IME all decent properties have priced their lowest level rooms at 70K and up (for a pretty obvious reason). This makes the free night certs useless for me.
Completely agree. As hotels have gotten more expensive and the points needed to book free nights have gone up and up, it’s hard to find decent hotels to use the 35k, 50k, and even 85k certificates. 85k with the top-off used to get you some pretty great hotels. Now those same hotels cost 150k or more.
Depends on the region. Have had good luck with these in the Caribbean with pretty nice properties in the 50-60k range in shoulder season.
I got an email this morning from Chase regarding the airfare credits. I’m a frequent Alaska flier so it’s pretty easy to book a ticket, wait a few days and then cancel it into your wallet balance.
No longer available via referral links 🙁
I’m having issues with referral and affiliate links not working today 7/13 despite the offer still being available a little longer (7/16 publicly and the e-mail referral offer to P2 says it is good until 7/23). Public links load. Assuming it’s probably just Sunday IT updates but will try again tomorrow and hope Chase didn’t pull referral and affiliates early.
Update – all worked fine the next day. Went into review and Chase called to verify that I applied two days later, then received approval email after one more day.
I applied for the Boundless a few days ago and have heard nothing. I went into pending applications on the Chase site and nothing. Do they have a specific number for applications or just use the number on the back of one of my cards?
Does anyone know of exceptions to 5/24 with the Chase Marriott co-brand cards?
I’m at about 23 months with my Amex Brilliant offer. Any data points if I can apply and will get a pop up/know I’m not eligible?
