Update: The increased bonus is also available through the Chase website and other channels.
Chase has an increased offer on their Freedom card through their referral website. Select current cardholders can refer their friends and earn 5,000 points. Their friends will earn:
- 20,000 points ($200) after spending $500 in the first 3 months.
- 2,500 points ($25) after adding an authorized user who uses the card within the first 3 months.
- Offer expires June 24, 2015
This is the highest the bonus has been over the past several years. The last time the bonus was this high was in 2014 when the same exact offer surfaced. Unlike past referral promotions, this one seems to not be available to all Freedom cardholders. None of my family’s three accounts are eligible to refer people for example. You can check your eligibility here.

If I signed up with the 10k bonus, would it be possible to get the 20k bonus by secure messaging Chase or not likely as the 20k here is not a public offer?
Generally the public offer comes out close to the time that the referral offer comes. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the public offer change to this soon based on the past, although I don’t have any knowledge of that. Chase generally will match the bonus if you have applied within the past 90 days. If you are within that window, I would send a secure message to them.
Thanks. I sent an email about an unrelated question (re:recon) to frequentmiler at gmail dot com and got an automated vacation reply. Could I ask here or elsewhere?
