If you’re thinking about switching to DIRECTV, there is a new Chase Offer out today good for $50 back when you spend $64.99 or more. The terms say that you have to be ordering new service (on a 24-month agreement and with an activation fee), which would make this offer lukewarm at best. However, I don’t know whether paying for existing service will trigger the offer, so it may be worth a shot if you have the offer and you’re paying your DIRECTV bill anyway. I found this offer on an Ink business card.
The Deal
- A new Chase Offer is good for $50 back when you spend $64.99 or more to add DIRECTV service
Key Terms
- Offer expires 3/31/21
- Must pay first monthly service bill by 4/30/21
- Terms state that DIRECTV requires a 24-month TV agreement and $19.95 activation fee
Quick Thoughts
As noted at the top, this deal probably isn’t very exciting unless you were already planning to add DIRECTV service. I don’t know whether this offer would trigger on existing service despite the terms that indicate new service only, but it might be worth trying out the offer on your DIRECTV bill if you have the offer. In my case, I found the offer on an Ink Plus card that earns 5x on cable. I’m not sure whether that works with DIRECTV, but it might be worth a shot.
If you’re signing up for DIRECTV service, note that in the past when testing deals I’ve noticed that if I start the process and then leave the tab for a while and come back to it, they often have a pop-up offer good for an extra $100 Visa Gift Card or something for ordering new service, so it might be worth stalling in the ordering process. You should also obviously go through a shopping portal – YMMV if it would stack with a “stalling” offer.
Dish Network offers 5000 UR’s or 5000 AA points to name a few offers but Directv doesn’t have those same deals otherwise this “might” be stackable somehow.
