Update 5/24: Doctor of Credit is reporting that, according to Chase bankers, the 85K Sapphire Preferred (CSP) offer that’s currently available in-branch will be going away as of 6/22/24. My guess is that the elevated 75K public offers on the CSP and Chase Sapphire Reserve will be ending at approximately the same time.
~~~
There is now an in-branch welcome offer for Chase Sapphire Preferred that gives 75,000 Ultimate Rewards points after $4,000 in spend within the first 3 months, plus an additional 10,000 points after spending $6,000 total within the first 6 months.
Our assumption is that these will both be available at all Chase locations. However, as always with these in-branch offers, it can pay to call and confirm before going down.
The Offer and Key Card Details
- There is an in-branch offer for the Chase Sapphire Preferred that’s good for 85K points after $6K in total purchases within the first 6 months.
Quick Thoughts
We see better in-branch offers for the Sapphire Preferred and Sapphire Reserve now and then — sometimes the online offer also increases, but not always. While 85K points isn’t the best offer that we’ve ever seen on the Sapphire Preferred (it’s been as high as 100K), it’s still an excellent offer that could be well worth the trip to a Chase branch.
Currently, referral links go to the 75K public offer, and a household referral from a player 2 would add another 10,000 points to the total haul, making if effectively equivalent to the in-branch offer…but without the headache of having to go to an physical Chase location.
Any idea how long the in-branch offers usually run? I would like my P2 to get in on this offer but will wait to see if they include an on-line offer soon? Just not sure how low to wait. New to the pts/miles hobby. Thanks for the help!
It all sounds good. What do I need to do???
Visit a Chase branch and ask a personal banker for an application.
