Delta is offering a flash sale for economy class travel to Australia and Asia. The travel dates vary with most city pairs falling somewhere between February and April, though as with all Delta flash sales you may find the same deals from additional cities and date ranges beyond what is advertised.
The Deal
- Delta is having a flash sale with flights from various US Cities to Asia and Australia from 56K miles round trip in economy class
- Direct link to this offer
Key Details
- Available dates vary by city pair
- Book by 11:59pm ET on September 19, 2019
Quick Thoughts
The cheapest city pair advertised is Philadelphia to Tokyo, which rings it at 56K miles round trip as advertised in March and April (cherry blossom season is usually late March / early April for those interested).
That sounds decent on the surface, though when you look up flights for the same dates you’ll see that you are getting less than 1 cent per mile in value at that rate:
There are many city pairs listed, and I usually find deals on more cities than just those included on the Delta landing page, so there may be some good options depending on your airport combinations.
Flights to Australia start at 82K round trip from Los Angeles or 86K RT from San Jose. Those rates probably present more value compared to cash prices if Australia is on your radar.
Unfortunately, I don’t see any promotional pricing on premium cabin tickets with this flash sale.
H/T: The Gate
I am not sure what the link first showed when you posted, but I am now seeing as cheap as 30K PHX or LAX to Tokyo (I am eyeing 48K from Milwaukee to NGO).
