The Dosh app is offering an extra 2% back at all stores this weekend to celebrate its second birthday. That will make for some excellent in-store offers — including a well-times 5% back at Staples.

Quick Thoughts
This is a nicely-timed deal since some readers will likely be heading to Staples this weekend. While terms indicate that gift card purchases are excluded, anecdotal experience has been that they have still triggered cash back. Keep in mind that Staples cash back is normally limited to $5 per day (no reason to assume the limit will be lifted for this deal). Note that while Bed, Bath, & Beyond may be less exciting, 4% back there could be a consolation when your Staples racks get cleaned off.

Is there a way to add an authorized user’s Ink card to Dosh?

Is the Staples cash back regional? I don’t see it on my Dosh.
I don’t think so? Not sure. Right now, I’m in an area where there is no Staples, so it’s not showing up locally for me. However, I put in a handful of cities (both major and small) and saw Staples at 3% in the places I checked (should be 5% tomorrow).
What places did you check? I just searched Philadelphia, DC, New York and Portland and didn’t see For any of them
Just pulled up NYC in the app and I see Staples all over Manhattan at 3%. Extra 2% is for the weekend, so I assume it starts tomorrow.
I got Dosh triggered yesterday near DC. The extra 2% is apparently paid next week via the small print. My triggered amount was only 3%, I expect the extra 2% should hit next week. Maybe there will be two separate $5 caps because of when the extra 2% hits? Dosh triggered on my chase cash 5% card FYI. I had only added it 24-48 hours prior to purchase.
I just purchased $100 in gift cards in-store at Staples and it did not trigger any Dosh cashback. Has anyone else had a different experience as of late?
