Delta and Hilton have teamed up to offer 1,000 bonus SkyMiles on up to three Hilton stays through July 7. This isn’t a promotion where you have to choose either Delta SkyMiles or Hilton Honors points – you earn both. It’s important to be aware of the terms of the offer though because it’s not valid on stays you’ve already booked.

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Registration required.
  • SkyMiles Members will earn 1,000 bonus miles per Hilton Hotel booking booked through Hilton.com or the Hilton Honors App, for stays made by and completed between April 6, 2024 and July 7, 2024.
  • To be eligible for the offer, Members must register for the promotion at https://www.hiltonhonors.com/en_US/2024-Delta-SkyMiles/landing/ by May 6, 2024, and have active Hilton Honors and SkyMiles accounts.
  • Registration alone does not entitle a SkyMiles Member to the bonus mileage offer.
  • Mutual Members who do not register prior to booking and consuming their Hilton stay will not be eligible to receive the mileage offer.
  • Booking must be made while signed-in to your Hilton Honors account to receive the offer.
  • Any bookings made prior to registration for the promotion or not signed-in to your Hilton Honors account will not be retroactively credited for purposes of this offer.
  • Miles are awarded to only one member per hotel booking; name must match the name in your SkyMiles account, the Hilton Honors account, and the booking to receive the bonus miles.
  • Hotels must be paid for in U.S. currency.
  • Additional restrictions may apply to your booking.
  • Maximum of three stays per SkyMiles Member are eligible for this offer.
  • Miles will be deposited into your SkyMiles account within 6-8 weeks of completing your stay. Miles are bonus miles and do not count towards Medallion Status or Million Miler Status.

Quick Thoughts

Earning 1,000 bonus Delta SkyMiles is a nice reward because it’s on top of the Hilton Honors points you earn as standard. While you normally only have the choice between earning Hilton points or airlines miles on your stays, this promotion is an exception which lets you earn both.

There’s a couple of minor hoops you have to jump through though. The first is that you have to register for the offer by May 6 using the link above and the second is that you have to have your Delta SkyMiles number added to your Hilton Honors account. If that’s not already attached, you’ll be prompted to add it during the offer registration process.

Also be aware that you’ll only earn the bonus miles on newly-booked stays. Even if you register for the promotion before your stay, if the stay itself was booked before registration then it won’t be eligible. Instead, you’d have to rebook the stay, although whether it’s worth doing that will depend on if you’d originally made a refundable booking and whether the price has gone up in the meantime.

What isn’t clear is if award stays count for this promo. The terms don’t state if they’re eligible one way or another, but in the past some Hilton promos have awarded bonus points on both paid and award stays, so hopefully the same will be the case with this Delta promo too.
