Chase is sending out emails to customers offering 500 bonus points or miles when using their contactless card to use Tap To Pay for three separate transactions of $1.75 or more.
The Deal
- Tap to pay using your Chase card three times and receive 500 bonus points/miles when each purchase is $1.75 or more.
Key Terms
- Offer valid January 30 to February 29, 2020.
- Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after the qualifying purchase(s) post(s) to your account for bonus points/miles to post to your credit card account.
Quick Thoughts
While not a huge bonus, this is pretty easy to do as buying a large bag of chips three times at a grocery store that allows contactless payments will trigger the bonus.
This is obviously only available on contactless cards and might be targeted beyond that. I’ve received an email about it for my United and Marriott Chase cards, whereas my wife hasn’t received an email (yet?) for her Freedom card which is also contactless.
If you are targeted for this, note that eligible purchases have to be made from January 30 to February 29, so you’ll need to wait until at least Thursday before taking advantage of this offer.

I got this offer on both my Sapphire Preferred & my Bonvoy. But I remembered it as requiring 7 tap-to-pays.
Thanks to this page, I just called Chase to find out I need only 3 on each card.
Any idea on the subject line of the e-mail, so we can search our inbox? I think most people, like me, delete so much SPAM e-mail that we might have accidentally deleted it.
It’s “[Name] Earn 500 bonus points” or “[Name] Earn 500 miles”.
I got it for my Hyatt card.
Got it for my amazon card, but not my other 2 contactless personal chase cards (United, CSR)
