Quick Thoughts
This is a good deal on Happy gift cards and has the potential to be profitable for reselling. If you were to spend $125 on a Happy gift card, you’d earn 1,000 Reward points which is worth $1 off per gallon on up to 25 gallons. If you can fill your vehicle(s) with that full 25 gallons, you’d be saving 20% based on your original purchase.
Happy gift card brands like Happy Guy and Happy Lady can be used at stores like Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond. Those stores have gift card racks selling third party gift cards like eBay or even Visa gift cards. Unless you have a cashier who refuses to let you use them, Happy gift cards can be used to pay for third party gift cards, thereby making this potentially profitable for reselling.
Albertsons owns loads of grocery store chains including Safeway, United Supermarkets, Tom Thumb, Vons and more. This deal should therefore be available at all of those stores.

What is “this”? The sale or the not allowing GC purchases with Happy?
YMMV, but our BBB in my area is no longer allowing any GC purchases with a Happy card; they said it came down from corporate.
Do you happen to know if that’s hard-coded into their register or just that their staff on the lookout for Happy gift cards being used?
It is clearly NOT hard coded at this point, so certainly a YMMV situation. I first time they refused me buying Visa, I bought BBB gift cards figuring that would be okay. The next time, wouldn’t even let me buy BBB and told me that was their direction from corporate. Part of the problem is 3 of us went a bit too much after the G reward deal……
