Marriott Homes & Villas runs bonus points promotions far more frequently than Marriott Bonvoy does for its main hotel brands. Hot on the heels of one Homes & Villas promo ending, there’s a new one that started yesterday – an opportunity to earn double points on all stays through the end of the year (almost), but you have to book by February 13.
The Deal
- Earn 2x points on Marriott Homes & Villas stays when staying at least 3 consecutive nights & spending $1,500+.
- Direct link to registration.
Key Terms
- A “stay” is defined as three (3) or more consecutive nights spent at the same property, regardless of check-in and check-out activity.
- Registration of Marriott Bonvoy Member’s Marriott Bonvoy account is required for this promotion. Members must register by February 13, 2025. See REGISTER NOW Link on: https://homes-and-villas.marriott.com/en/offers/GLB2XJAN25
- Registered Marriott Bonvoy Members earn 2X base points per qualifying U.S. dollar for each eligible paid stay at a participating home rental booked between January 3, 2025 (12:01 AM EST) – February 13, 2025 (11:59 PM EST) through the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website (“HVMB Platform”). Payment for the stay must be made in cash or credit card.
- Stays of three (3) or more consecutive nights must be completed during the promotion earning period, beginning January 6, 2025, up to and including nights stayed on or before December 30, 2025.
- The minimum spend required for the stay is $1500 (or foreign currency equivalent)
- Members earn five (5) base Points for each U.S. dollar, or the currency equivalent, on all Qualifying Charges incurred and paid for by the Member through the HVMB Platform.
- Promotion bonus Points are calculated based on 2X base Points earned per stay within the promotion earning period and do not include Elite bonus points also awarded for the stay.
- Charges that do not qualify for Points include, but are not limited to, taxes, booking fees, cleaning fees, security deposits, and extra add-on services purchased and/or applied to home rentals booked through the HVMB Platform.
- Award redemption stays where Points are redeemed for a portion of, or the entire stay are not eligible for the promotion.
- No points are awarded for cancellation or no-show.
Quick Thoughts
Marriott Homes & Villas ordinarily awards five points per dollar, so this latest promo means you’ll earn 10 points per dollar. There are a few key things to be aware of with this promo though.
One is that registration is required, so be sure to do that before making your reservation(s). Your stays have to be for at least three consecutive nights to qualify, plus they have to cost at least $1,500 before taxes, fees, etc.
Also note that even though this bonus points promotion is valid on stays through (nearly) the end of the year, you have to make your reservation by February 13, 2025 in order for it to qualify.
You can cut the cost of your stay by taking advantage of the new Marriott Homes & Villas Amex Offer which is giving $250 back on $1,000 spend. I haven’t ever booked a Homes & Villas stay myself, but I think you can pay for some of the stay now and some later. If your stay happened to cost $2,000, you might therefore be able to pay $1,000 now on one Amex card and $1,000 later on another if both those cards have the Amex Offer attached.
Don’t forget to click through from a shopping portal before making your reservation(s). You can find the current rates here, here and here.
Clicked on the registration and it downloaded a virus. Thanks Frequent Miler. 🙁 Learned my lesson, can’t click on your links.
We’re so sorry about that. The registration link in the post isn’t a virus; it’s the landing page for the promotion. However, we’ve been having an issue with some of the ads displayed on our site which are injecting malicious code. I suspect it was one of those links that you clicked which caused this – we’re working hard to stop this from happening.
I booked in the last promo with 20K bonus points. For the places I reserved a 50% deposit was charged within a few days. That should trigger the credit I think.
Now I need to do math about 20K bonus vs 2X…
