The Flight Deal is reporting an airfare sale with prices from the US to major European cities from $380 between now and May and September through February 2018. Availability exists from on both Oneworld (flying from/to Skyteam cities) and Skyteam (flying from/to Oneworld cities). This sale is available from a wide range of American cities — the big story here is the number of smaller, non-hub cities on sale. While I haven’t found pricing quite as low as they are reporting, most of these cities have availability starting in the low to mid $400’s.

Update: For those based in New York, the Aer Lingus sale to Barcelona from $291 that we reported in this post is still working for dates in April and May. Those flights are not showing up in Google flights or via the portals below. Check the Aer Lingus site directly for dates in April and May.

Keep in mind that many of these flights will show up through the Chase travel portal, where Chase Sapphire Reserve holders can redeem points for 1.5 cents per point towards airfare — making a round trip $400 ticket price at less than 27,000 Ultimate Rewards points round trip. If booking on American Airlines and you have a Citi Prestige card, you can get 1.6 cents per point in value — meaning a $400 flight would only set you back 25,000 Citi Thank You points. Finally, Amex Business Platinum cardholders can book flights on their chosen airline and pay with points for a 50% rebate — meaning that a $400 flight will cost a net of 20,000 Membership Rewards points round trip (40,000 initially with a 20,000 point rebate) if you have chosen AA or Delta and book with that airline.

For help using Google flights to find deals, see our post about How to find great business class fares with Google flights — though the guide was written with business class in mind, the same exact steps and tips apply to finding economy class sales like this. There are several opportunities coming in the next few weeks to buy hotel points through Daily Getaways, so keep your eye on examples of how those points could yield value in Europe. Keep in mind that if booking through an online travel agency, you should have 24 hours to cancel for a full refund (check the policy before booking), so booking through an OTA will give you a day to confirm plans. Best of luck grabbing a deal from your city!
