- Direct link to sign up.
Key Terms
- Expires February 28th 2019 23:59 PST.
- New member will earn $25 bonus after earning $10 cashback.
Quick Thoughts
A $25 signup bonus for TopCashback is a great offer. They often don’t offer a referral bonus at all (except to the person who referred you), but when they do it is usually only for $5 or $10.
Some notes about TopCashBack from our writer Stephen Pepper
I’ve found TopCashback tends to have the highest or one of the highest rates for most retailers, so earning $10 in cashback shouldn’t be too hard if you ever buy anything online. In fact, I’ve earned almost $2,000 with them over the last five years.
The amount I’ve earned with TopCashback is much higher than that though. I started using them 12-13 years ago as I grew up in the UK and topcashback.co.uk came before the US-based .com version of the site. I earned at least £1,000 with them over the course of 2-3 years, so can vouch for their reliability for more than a decade.
On the off-chance that you’re completely new to the concept of cashback portals, the way it works is that you click through to a retailer from the cashback site and make a purchase. You’ll then earn either a percentage of your transaction or a flat amount. For example, when clicking through to Expedia from TopCashback, you can earn 12% cashback when booking a cruise or $2.50 when making a flight reservation.
TopCashback isn’t the only cashback portal out there, so it’s always best to compare rates on Cashback Monitor before making a purchase to ensure you’re earning the maximum cashback.
Recap
This higher signup bonus is available until February 28th 2019, so you only have about 10 days to take advantage of it. Once again, we’re not getting anything out of this promotion – it’s you who’ll be getting all the benefit if you become a new TopCashback member.
Did anyone notice the offer page says “Expires February 28th 2018” instead of 2019?
Do I have to earn $10 cash back before Feb. 28 to get this $25 bonus?
No, you just need to sign up by then.
The link isn’t working, on mobile at least
I was suckered into this $25 deal more than 2 months ago. I made 3 other purchases before the holidays and haven’t received a cent yet. All purchases are still “pending.” What a scam.
It’s common for cash back portals to take 3 months or more to pay out. I’m sure you’ll get the money unless there is some reason that the vendors you made purchases with haven’t verified the purchases with TCB
A lot of us had a major issue with them promising 10% on Raise and only giving us 2%. There is a huge thread on DoC. They tell everyone to submit a claim and then saying they will need 2-3 months to get back to us??????????
I haven’t followed that issue, but wasn’t it caused by Raise messing up rather than TCB?
Well, the TCB site tracked all of our purchases at 2% (the regular cashback rate), although a 10% rate was being advertised that day. I can’t believe this is a Raise issue if the purchase is being tracked fine.
This is the DoC post I was thinking of: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/topcashback-aware-of-raise-reporting-issues-2-instead-of-10-will-be-fixed/
Ohhh, I was out last week and must have missed this one. The 10% rate was back this weekend and the old post was showing up on the main page today. We shall see what we shall see. Been 2 weeks, not fixed yet.
UPDATE: TCB has bumped up my cashback to the promised 10%.
There is also an issue with them offering and then reneging on $25 for Naked Wine.
Best to avoid TopCashBack.
[…] Update 2/19/2019: TopCashBack offered 17% cash back at Dell yesterday, but that offer has since expired. If you are new to TopCashBack, I recommend signing up for the portal via this short term offer: Exclusive Bonus Offer: Earn $25 When Joining TopCashback (valid through Feb 28, 2019) […]
I recommend that everyone skip this. TopCashBack will find a way not to pay, with some obscure and ambiguous excuse.
If you can ding them for $25 great but otherwise I cannot recommend ever clicking through their website and expecting to get paid. Avoid.
I disagree. It’s very common for people to have issues with rewards portals for a variety of reasons. In my experience TopCashBack is one of the better ones.
Ebates, MrRebates: they just pay out. No guff. TopCashBack is slow and when they deny they do so with ambiguous wording and with unprovable conditions. You can screen-capture the click through, get the order number, email them, and they’ll still come up with some shady excuse not to pay.
