Quick Thoughts
Fairmont offers this type of sale a couple of times a year and it’s a great way to save on your room or incidentals if you have upcoming Fairmont stays. Since this is a 20% bonus, it’s actually like a 16.67% discount (e.g. $20 off of $120). That’s pretty good for Fairmont stays.
Last year, Greg stayed at the Fairmont Grand del Mar, and it looked pretty awesome.
Saving 16.67% on the cost of a stay could certainly add up pretty quickly.
Keep in mind that these gift cards can be used at various Fairmont managed services — so you may be able to use these to save on various charges even when not staying on-property.

hey nick, anyone there with DP on using Chase INK or CIP or Citi ATT? im surprised DPs are lacking on this from prior years. only thing certain is that buytab.com is not travel.
I’m not sure. I don’t buy these as I don’t stay at Fairmont. DoC payments workshop shows a DP of them earning 5x on a Fairmont CC back when that existed, but a user in 2016 commented to say that it coded on his Citi statement as, “Category: Merchandise NOVELTY / SOUVENIR SHOPS”. Hard to say. I’d probably go AT&T, but I think it’s a toss up.
