Every month Air France/KLM Flying Blue offers discounted award flights from select North American airports to Europe which are known as Flying Blue Promo Rewards.
They came out with a new batch a few days ago and eligible cities include New York, Boston, Seattle, Denver and a couple of Canadian cities too.
The Deal
- Book one-way economy award flights between the following cities and Europe for 15,000 Flying Blue miles:
- Boston
- New York
- Vancouver
- Denver
- Seattle
- Ottawa

Quick Thoughts
If you don’t mind flying in economy, booking one-way awards for 15,000 miles + ~$125 in taxes and fees isn’t terrible from somewhere on the west coast like Seattle or Vancouver. From New York and Boston though, it’s a little pricey seeing as cash tickets to Europe are often pretty cheap. Virgin Atlantic also now has some very good value awards in economy with its new dynamic pricing, such as 6,000 miles + ~$75 from JFK to London.
Where Flying Blue Promo Rewards can shine though is award availability for larger groups of people. For example, here’s what availability looks like from Seattle to Paris in February 2025; note that the 60,000 mile pricing is based on 15,000 miles per person for four people, not 60,000 miles for each person.
It’s occasionally possible to find discounted business class award tickets from/to these Flying Blue Promo Rewards cities, but they seem to be much harder to come by nowadays. It’s worth taking a look though if you’re planning travel to/from Europe through the end of April and live in – or can easily position to – any of these eligible cities.
