Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is happening now! Follow us as Greg, Nick, and Stephen compete to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines before November 23rd. Who will complete the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?

Follow along here!

Thanks to all of the FAR (free after rebate) deals I’ve been writing about, I’ve been upgraded to Plus status in the Staples Rewards program.  Not only that, but I’m also just $220 away from earning Premier status!  I don’t know much about the Staples elite program, but I’m assuming that I’ll get free access to the Staples lounge, priority checkout lines, and of course free domestic upgrades…

Congratulations, you’ve been upgraded to Staples Rewards® Plus. You’ve earned this special status because you’ve spent $500 or more with us. Enjoy these new benefits for the next year. • Free shipping on all orders. • $5 monthly minimum to earn a Reward, which is half the minimum of the regular program. • Special member-only Rewards offers throughout the year. • Dedicated, priority customer service. If you have a question or concern, just call your dedicated phone line at 1-866-493-8122. • All of your coupons are in one convenient place. Simply log in and click on “Coupon Wallet” to receive even more savings.

How about you, did you earn Staples elite status?  How about OfficeMax or Office Depot status?  Are you going to vote for any of their programs to win Freddie awards?

You are all a bunch of status sluts, just admit it!

Scottrick

Once you get started, it’s surprising how easy it is to get status with everyone. I even have elite status at the jewelry store where I bought Megan’s engagement ring!

Al

@Hao: You can buy in bulk on eBay for 15-20c per cartridge.

Delta Points

I think you should include this in your talk at the ORD DO! Riveting stuff and all that… ;-/

Hao

where are people getting all these ink cartridges to recycle? see on other blogs people bringing in a bunch – but that’s tons of printing if it’s just from regular methods 🙂

Al

The main benefit that people use Premier for is that you can recycle 20 ink cartridges per month instead of 10 (so $40 in Staples rewards rather than $20).

HikerT

Awesome, thanks for the heads up on filing out the form for missing qualifying activity. I do need to buy printer paper once a year. This might allow me to upgrade to premium. Does elite status also get you free bags at checkout?

FrequentMiler

Free bags! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that! Good one! LOL

Daniel G

HikerT,

You can still enter your purchases after the transaction. I’f you log in to the rewards page and click on “staples reward summary” you then have the option to click “add receipt” to get credit for missing purchases.

I’m not familiar with the rewards program but I’m not sure we get anything pack for these purchases because it’s not ink, toner, or paper. It does however get you to elite so that if you do buy ink toner and paper the reward back will be greater.

Steve

Are you supposed to get rewards credit for ALL purchases? I always enter my rewards number, and it says I’ve spent $0.00

Anne

Love it!

HikerT

Sadly, no status here. Neglected to enter my Staples Reward number. Tried to status match from Office DepotWorklife Rewards® Program but no luck.
