Free Instacart+ and $20/month in credits with a business Mastercard

32

There is a new Instacart promotion offering three months of free Instacart+ to “eligible” business Mastercard holders who enroll. More exciting is that enrollees also receive $20 in credits per month through January 2027, starting with their second monthly order.

Instacart promos are fairly common these days, but a nice feature of this one is that it stacks with a $10/month promo for Chase cards (and probably others) for a total of $30/month of Instacart orders on eligible cards.

The Deal

  • Get free Instacart+ and $20/month off of your second order when you enroll using an eligible small business Mastercard
    • Free Instcart+ last for three months
    • $20/month credit lasts through 1/31/27
    • Stacks with this promo from Chase (and probably others)
    • Card eligibility is determined at enrollment

Greg stacking this $20/month promo with Chase’s $10/month credit on his IHG Business Premier card.

Quick Thoughts

Instacart promos are a dime a dozen right now, and there’s a unique subculture of folks figuring out ways to maximize them, especially now that almost every Chase co-branded card has $10/month.

The noteworthy thing about this one is that it seems to stack with other Instacart promos, as Greg’s order above with the IHG Premier Business card shows. He got $10 off his first order, and then a total of $30 off his second; a nice monthly win that will make it much more interesting for many folks (vs. the normal $10/month).

I’m not certain which other business Mastercards count towards this promo, but I’d assume it’s a fairly wide net. Tell us about your success stories in the comments.

Is this offer only available for Instacart business account, not for personal Instacart account? I had US bank triple cash master card , after I enter my card information and click “ Activate now ”, it says “An error occurred. Please try again later or contact Customer Support for assistance.”

No it works with personal Instacart accounts but requires a business mastercard.

Appears dead. no stacking opportunities anymore with multiple CC’s. prove me wrong please. tried w/ Chase & MC after making the first successful MC purchase which unlocked 2nd purchase $20 off. If selecting pay w MC I get $20 off, I can alternatively select pay w Chase and get $10 off but cannot stack as shown above.

Greg The Frequent Miler

It still works for me. I wonder if it depends on the order in which you enabled the two promos? In my case, I enabled the Chase $10 promo months before enabling the Mastercard promo.

When I’m trying to enroll my Citi AAdvantage Business Mastercard card payment it’s giving me an error:
Something went wrong. Please try again later.

Tim

I was able to activate this discount using my Citi AAdvantage Business Mastercard. Noteworthy is the fact that on my wife’s account I was able to use her AU card (which is free) to activate the offer a second time.

Nate

Did you use your Citi AA Biz MC for the first purchase? Or a Chase card? And did you actually have your credit card charged for anything — I get the Chase $10/$20 discount and pay the balance with a IC gift card, so my CCs never get charged.

Sorry for all the Qs but I haven’t been able to get this to trigger, but would love to stack the Ink $20 and the Citi AA Biz $20 for a $40 credit on one order.

Tim

Not sure about using IC credits. IME the Mastercard deal is separate from the Chase deal…meaning, I had to first place an order of $10 with the AA Biz MC and complete the order. Then when I placed my second order over $10 the $20 discount applied. I did this on both my Instacart account using the main AA Biz card as well as on my wife’s Instacart account using the AU AA Biz card. I do not think you will be able to stack the discounts from an Ink and a Citi AA Biz on the same order.

Nate

Thanks Tim. I think my mistake is that I didn’t wait for the first order to complete before I attempted the second order to see if the discount appeared, and when it didn’t, I canceled both orders.

I guess Greg was able to stack them because IHG is one of the few Chase Bus Mastercards.

Pan

Is your Instacart+ trial extended by 3 months after adding the offer?

Trent S

How is Greg able to get both his Chase credit and MC credit to show up on the same transaction? I am only able to choose one method of payment and when I choose my MC it only shows a $10 credit. Is the screenshot from Greg from a second Instacart transaction where he used his MC card for a purchase prior to this one and that is why it shows the $20 credit now?

Clara

Exactly. I just did it and it requires 2 transactions to get both the $10 and $20 off credits.

Steve K

US Bank Triple Cash Mastercard and Bank of America Business Travel Rewards Mastercard did not work for me. 🙁

Sruly

I have the IHG Premier card (personal)
Can I sign up to get the Chase co-branded $10 discount (first order) and the MasterCard $10 discount (second order)?
Can I get 3+3 month free trial (Chase + MasterCard)?

And If yes Do I need to sing up for one offer first if one is only working for new customers

asteroid

Tried to add the offer from Citi aa business to an instacart account that the plus subscription from Chase ink offer has expired. Got this msgOur records show you previously had an Instacart+ subscription. To redeem this benefit, reactivate your Instacart+ membership and try to enroll again.

Anthony

Would Chase IHG Business work for this?

DoubleDip

Little confused on how this one works, exactly, as it’s not showing in the cart like that for me. Can you walk through the mechanics to get it to trigger?

  1. Do you need to place the first order with that same Mastercard and actually pay using the Mastercard (vs gift cards)?
  2. On the 2nd order do you need to also pay with the same Mastercard (vs. gift card or another card)?

Basically, how does having gift cards as Instacart credit play into this, if at all?

Nate

I’m having the same issue.

Nate

I wonder if it only shows up on the last screen? The screen shot is showing an order summary, and I haven’t hit submit on my order yet.

Andrew

The terms here had me lukewarm on this for non-Chase Business Mastercards:

“To qualify each month, you must (i) complete two Instacart orders, with a $10 minimum amount per order at one retailer (excluding any fees, taxes or tips), within that same month and paying with the same eligible enrolled card type (i.e. Mastercard Small Business US Debit card or Mastercard Small Business US Credit card)”

This would imply to me that to earn the $20 discount on say the Barclays Hawaiian Business card, I would need to make one purchase on a Business Mastercard that earns no discount and then a second purchase that earns the $20 off. With Chase cards I believe you’d get $10 off and then $30 off like in the screenshot of Greg’s purchase, which is much more interesting.

tleo

Interesting how he still has the $2 off the save and wait discount was about to ask if this was an updated post. Side note what chase card has the $10 off you can just stack? the co-branded cards requires using them as payment.

DoubleDip

I had it this morning (Feb 13) on an order from Lowes.

Grant

These Master Cards from Bank of America should also work:

  • Business Advantage Customized Cash Rewards
  • Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards
  • Business Advantage Travel Rewards
  • Platinum Plus® Mastercard® Business
  • Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards Mastercard® Secured

But it looks like you can only do 1 per account and the IHG Biz CC worked first.

James

One of Tim’s bullets says the following:

“This offer for three months of free Instacart+ membership (the “Mastercard Instacart+ Offer”) is available to you if you currently have an eligible US Mastercard® small business credit or debit card and do not have an active Instacart+ membership on or after September 1, 2025 (with the exception of certain free Instacart+ trials offered by Instacart)”

So I cannot add my Chase IHG Business Mastercard to my current Instacart+ account that already has various personal & business credit cards registered to it? Am I reading that right?

Pj

You can add it! You will see the discount on your second order using the Mastercard.
