Quick Thoughts
This is a pretty good deal as it shouldn’t be too hard to earn $10 in cashback over the course of a year in order to get the $35 bonus.
If you want to knock out the spend straight away so that you don’t have to track yet another thing in this hobby, one option would be to buy a $200 One4All gift card from Giftcards.com. Those can be redeemed for gift cards for hundreds of different retailers and restaurants and those cards currently earn 5% cashback through BeFrugal. That will get you the $10 cashback needed to trigger the $35 bonus. That means your total earnings on the purchase would be $45, or an effective 22.5% cashback which is a great deal considering the stores you can redeem for.

I thought this sounded great, but I can’t get any order to go through at giftcards.com. I have tried multiple times with multiple cards, but it fails each time and says “risk rejected” or “payment failed”. Any advice?
Did you set up an account with them? If so, try doing guest checkout using a different email address to the one you’ve tried before. For some reason the site doesn’t like my main email address, but using another one is fine even when using the same payment cards and address.
Yeah, I did set up an account, then I tried using a different email, then my husband’s email checking out as guest, and now checking out in an incognito window using my husband’s second email address and just a $50 giftcard instead of $200 – still rejected. Let me know if you have any other ideas, but it looks like I’ll be getting to the $10 earned mark the hard way!
I did also send them a message through their contact page, so maybe it’s something they’ll fix on their end.
