Gift Card Granny is running a deal that’s profitable before accounting for liquidation fees. Through June 16th, you can get 5% off sitewide + free shipping when using the promo code EDAD2025.

If you buy a $500 Visa or MC eGift card, you’ll be getting a $25 discount. The purchase fees on these cards are $6.95, so you’ll make a $18.05 profit before liquidation fees. When I used the code, it didn’t take off the $1.99 shipping charge, reducing the profit to $16.06.

Quick Thoughts

This is a good little discount that’s especially attractive with Visa/MC gift cards. Some folks have issues with multiple orders on Gift Card Granny, some can only get one order through, and others seem to be able to rock as much as they’d like.

It might be possible to save a little more by clicking through from a shopping portal. I’m not sure if using the promo code will affect tracking, but it’s worth a try anyway – here are the current rates.

Ordering $250 Groupon cards here and with eth code EDAD2025 it only offer $5 off. Buyer beware.

First attempt you get declined for a fraud alert and when you try again it shows the 5% off but then charges you full prices. Just a heads up.

I had the same thing happen to me. I contacted their customer service and they say they will refund the promo amount to my card. Hopefully, that actually happens.

I’ve been using my Ink Cash to buy V/MC GCs at OfficeMax stores whenever they have a sale rolling around (seems almost like a monthly thing to me). I usually get 3x $200 GCs for $594 + 5x. This doesn’t really stack up vs the OfficeMax deals.
