Hawaiian Airlines cards issued by Barclays still available… for now

9

Last year, we were informed that once HawaiianMiles merged with Alaska Mileage Plan, all credit cards would be consolidated under one issuer – presumably Bank of America. Well, as of October 1, 2025, HawaiianMiles formally became Atmos Rewards, so the writing is on the wall for those Hawaiian Airlines credit card offers. But as of this morning, the business card and both consumer cards are still available. This is likely our last opportunity to earn Atmos Rewards points with Barclays. I believe that it is still possible to get both a business and a consumer card, but I don’t think they allow getting both consumer cards anymore.

My Take

If you’re interested in earning as many Atmos Rewards points as possible, it’s worth considering both a consumer card and a business card. If you don’t want to hurt your 5/24 count, then go for just the business card. If you’ve been waiting for a better business card offer, I think it’s safe to say that it won’t happen before it’s too late.

Hat tip to Bolt for finding a working link to the business card.

Business card link doesn’t work. It just keeps looping to the same page when you hit apply

Will they still allow to pool atmos points? Would be a cheaper way than trying to get the summit card

I’ve been holding out for a better offer…so it’s not likely?

Rodrigo

Why would the Hawaiian cards go away even tho Hawaiian airlines metal is still around?

I guess I’m confused.

James L

What determines when the Hawaiian cards go away is when the cobrand agreement ends with Barclays/Bank of Hawai’i, or if Alaska makes a $$$ offer to incentivize Barclays to end that contract early. It’s unclear when that is ending, but from limited reporting, it seems like not that soon.

Linda

Barclays sent out an email on 9/30 that indicated (but did not specifically state) that the HA consumer card was not going away.

Here’s what to know:

  • Your current HawaiianMiles are not expiring, but they will soon convert to one Atmos Rewards point for every one HawaiianMile
  • Your current Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® will remain active, so you can keep earning miles; however, you will start earning Atmos Rewards points beginning on Oct 1, 2025
  • Your account details will remain the same, including your account number, CVV, and expiration date
  • You’ll receive a new card when your current card expires
  • You do not need to do anything at this time; continue using your card to keep earning miles
Lee

Cobranding contracts are usually for a term of years. Do we know the expiration date? Separately, under imposed conditions of merger approval, BOH versions might well be protected.

Saw someone post on Reddit today that the Barclays Hawaiian cards are no longer available but after reading this I immediately went to go apply, then remembered that I would rather take a 5/24 slot for the Atmos Summit, but got declined. Immediately went to the Barclays Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard and was instantly approved for $15k CL. 100k would’ve been nice, but 80k is better than nothing! Summit will be around so I’ll try for that later. Thanks for posting!
