Hilton Timeshare Offer: 3 or more nights and 100K points, starting at $149

17

Hilton Grand Vacations is currently offering a good vacation package that requires attending a two-hour timeshare presentation. You get 3 nights of lodging in one of several specific locations plus 100,000 Hilton Honors points for as low as $149 + tax.

Nick once did a Bluegreen Vacations timeshare presentation and felt great about the deal. The presentations itself are lengthy but, if you’re able to get your “no” face on and can use travel to one of the included locations, this could be a pretty good deal.

The Deal

    • 4-day/3-night stay for $149 + tax in Orlando, Florida; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina or Las Vegas, Nevada.
    • 3-day/2-night stay for $229 + tax in New York City or Washington, DC.
    • 5-day/4-night stay for $899 + tax in Honolulu, HI.

Quick Thoughts

Hilton Grand Vacations comes out with variations on this basic offer somewhat regularly. This particular one is good for stays in Orlando, Las Vegas or Myrtle Beach.

In exchange for agreeing to attend a 2-hour timeshare presentation, you get 3 nights lodging and 100,000 Hilton Honors Points for $149+tax (and an additional $19.95 for changes made up to 7 days prior to arrival). You buy the package now and then have 12 months from the date of purchase to use it, but note that the points will not post until after you travel, so you won’t get them instantly.

Our reasonable redemption value for Hilton Honors Points is .48 cents per point, so you’re getting around $480 in value from the points alone. Throw in three nights of lodging and the deal gets pretty interesting, especially if you need travel to one of the included destinations.

Timeshare presentations are notorious for being somewhat exhausting affairs. To prepare, it’s probably helpful to read Stephen Pepper’s Timeshare Presentation Survival Guide: Get your “No” face on.

These offers are invite only BUT if you call them reference a lower offer you have from the app and send a screen shot of the higher offer to the rep they will match the price and the 100k points

You should add to the post that this is invite only. Clicked to purchase a package through the link, said offer wasn’t available. Tried calling a couple times and both reps asked for an invitation ID from the email sent to me, after acting aloof that I couldn’t find the email and having them manually searching by my HH number they couldn’t match nor find the offer.

sun

Does anyone know how many people you can bring from your family? We went to one a few years back in Orlando but my 3 kids were much younger. They are now 2 freshman in college and one in middle school

Marc V

Can anyone share the invitation ID please? They won’t give you the offer without it.

Noureen

Link is expired. Is this by invitation only?

Marc V

Can anyone share the invitation ID on the Hilton email sent out? Please.

B J

Tried using it and it said the offer isn’t available for me, and after calling the rep said I need the “invitation ID on the email I received”. So I would say this is invite only.

Lukas

Also what’s different about this offer is that BOTH people have to attend.

Dave

For people who have taken advantage of this before, how flexible are the date selections for the hotel stay?

Lukas

What do you mean flexible? I re-scheduled my hotel to another city and didn’t have to pay any fee canceling 2 weeks before arrival.

Dave

Choice of exact dates. I imagine they aren’t running presentations that would work with every possible selection of 3-5 night stays?

dollar

I’ve never had a problem scheduling one, but I haven’t tried to go during the highest peak season (holidays etc).

T. Jones

I signed up for the previous offer that provides Hawaiian Airline miles after attending. When booking, I was also informed that certain nights during the holidays were subject to an upcharge of $50 per night with a cap of $200.

I’ve done this exact Hilton 100K deal before. It depends on the location. I did my deal for Gatlinburg, TN, and they only have a few specific days that they do their time share presentations, so you pretty much had to schedule for a 3 day weekend. It might be different for other locations.

As someone else mentioned, they have an upcharge for peak dates, and depending on the locations, the peak-date range can be huge. For Gatlinburg, it was May through October.

Another thing to know about these timeshare packages is that they’ll let you buy them 12 months in advance, but you can only schedule your time share vacation 6 months in advance, which make things trickier and leads to people forgetting.

IMO, best practice is to have a travel date in mind about 6 months in advance and try to book when you actually call in to buy the package to confirm availability and that there is no upcharge. If the agent tries to tell you it’s a peak date, push back and ask them if they can waive the fee. I didn’t end up paying the peak-date fee even though I booked for Labor Day weekend.

Last thing I’ll say is to be super upfront with them at the beginning that you are really only there for the points, and don’t really look at anyone or participate. I’ve gotten out of 2 different time share presentations this way in less than 30 minutes. It can be hard if you don’t generally like being an a-hole to people, but the sales people don’t want to waste their time any more than you do.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Dave

Thank you, this is very useful information. My fear was buying the package and then the dates not working out with my schedule. Good tip about confirming availability when buying the package!
