The other day I covered holiday shopping portal bonuses from both American AAdvantage and United MileagePlus. Three of the other major airlines have now released bonuses of their own. Let’s take a look.
Southwest Rapid Rewards
Southwest is offering up to a 5,500 point bonus for using their portal.
During the “Holiday” bonus campaign, which runs from November 11, 2015 through November 26, 2015 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will receive a one-time bonus of up to 5,500 bonus points on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard points earned from shopping online through Rapid Rewards Shopping.
Earning Structure
- 500 bonus points for qualifying purchases of at least $150.
- 2,000 bonus points for qualifying purchases of at least $550.
- 5,500 bonus points for qualifying purchases of $1,500 or more.

Delta SkyMiles
Delta has a smaller bonus than the other airlines and is offering up to 1,500 SkyMiles for using their portal.
During the “Holiday” bonus campaign, which runs from 11/6/15 through 11/23/15 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will receive a one-time bonus of up to 1,500 bonus award miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard miles earned from shopping online through SkyMiles Shopping.
Earning Structure
- 250 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $75.
- 1,500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of $500 or more.

Alaska MileagePlan
Alaska is running an almost identical deal to Delta’s.
During the “Holiday” bonus campaign, which runs from 11/10/15 through 11/20/15 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will receive a one-time bonus of up to 1,500 bonus award miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard miles earned from shopping online through Mileage Plan Shopping.
Earning Structure
- 250 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $100
- 1,500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of $500 or more.

Promotional Dates
As you can see, each of these promotions has a slightly different start and end date. Make sure to pay attention to when the portal bonus ends so you don’t accidentally miss out.

I originally read these differently, and now taking a look, it seems I have a new opinion. Originally I thought this spending was cumulative. But on rereading it here, I am thinking it is per transaction. Any idea which is correct? Cumulative purchases during promotion period? Or each purchase during promotion period?
These have always been cumulative in the past and I don’t believe it reads any differently now.
