Peacock periodically runs sales where you can get a year of service on new accounts for around $20, near Black Friday and also major sporting events they have broadcast (World Cup, Olympics). That can be stacked with other frequent card linked Peacock offers to get the annual total under $20, so the other options for the Digital Entertainment credit would provide a lot more value.

Nick – You said on the podcast that T-Mobile gives you issues when you pay the same amount each month. As a data point, I always only pay $10 on multiple Biz Plat cards each month and have never had an issue. I’ve done this for several years now. I use the app on my iPad or iPhone (ios) to pay and just charge $10 one at a time on all my cards, which are saved in my T-Mobile profile. Not sure why you are having an issue charging $10 on multiple cards, but it is definitely possible.

Beware that if you sign up for the NY Times they put up a full screen popup every time you click on a page asking you to download the app. There is no way to disable it from what I can tell online. I cancelled after 3 days.

Is your objective with multiple personal Platinum cards to break even on the annual fee with statement credits but to secure the P2 referral bonus?

Johnny

Another benefit of having multiple Platinums is the ability to take advantage of the 35% rebate on multiple airlines.

Nick — I also prefer hard-copy newspaper. NYT Sunday print subscription is $20.89 per month (for the first 3 months or if you pretend to cancel), so makes a good use of the entertainment credit.
