Ibotta is offering increased cashback rates for several travel sites this week. While not all of them are the highest portal rates available, a few, including Choice Hotels and Hertz, are, making this worth a closer look.
The Deal
- Earn increased cashback rates at the following retailers when clicking through from the Ibotta app:
- Booking.com – 7%
- Choice Hotels – 9%
- Travelocity – 7% (hotels only)
- Orbitz – up to 9%
- eBags – 13%
- IHG – 8%
- Hotwire – up to 6%
- SiriusXM – $17
- Hertz – 9%
- HP – 2%(?!)

Quick Thoughts
A few of these retailers can be ignored, like HP at only 2% and eBags at 13% seeing as several other portals are currently paying 15-18% for eBags.
There are a few mildly sweet spots in this list though. 9% cashback on Choice Hotels bookings is good seeing as the highest rate elsewhere is only 7.2%, unless you’re booking a Cambria property, in which case go with TopCashback for 10%. Clicking through from Ibotta takes you directly to Choice which means you’ll earn points, stay credits and benefit from status, plus your stay will be eligible for Choice’s latest promotion.
8% back for IHG reservations is also pretty good, although TopCashback is currently offering 8% and Mr Rebates has it at 10%. If it’s been a while since you’ve used the Ibotta app though and you still have a balance sitting in there, clicking through from Ibotta could be worthwhile as it’ll extend the expiry date of your cashback.
Hertz is another good deal, as 9% is higher than you’ll get through any other cashback portal. 9% is also being offered for Orbitz, although that’s only for car rentals and cruises. Ebates is still paying 15% for car rentals booked through Orbitz as part of its birthday week celebrations, although that rate is due to end today (May 13).
