Increase rewards, liquidate gift cards: New resource pages

Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is happening now! Follow us as Greg, Nick, and Stephen compete to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines before November 23rd. Who will complete the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?

Follow along here!

A couple of weeks ago I announced a new resource page: How to increase credit card spend.  One of the many techniques listed there is to use prepaid cards.  Specifically, the idea is to buy Visa or MasterCard gift cards and use them, as debit cards, to reload prepaid cards in-store.  This is a process that we receive many questions about, so we (by “we”, I mean Shawn) created a page that should help to answer many of the most basic questions:

liquidateVisa

Also, as a follow-up to the page showing how to increase credit card spend, I’ve added a new page listing many ways to increase credit card rewards (you know, portals and such).  With a little forethought it should be possible to average considerably more than 2 points per dollar.  See:

Long time readers probably won’t learn much new from these two new resources, but they should be handy for those starting out and/or looking for a refresher.

Unfortunately none of these techniques will work, if adopted by the masses. It a road nowhere.
Perhaps the bloggers who choose a niche subject (like MS) should resign themselves in advance to the fact that their audience can not be scaled up infinitely without destroying itself.
