JetBlue Amex Offer: Spend $250+, get 5,000 Membership Rewards points (targeted)

There is a new JetBlue Amex Offer out that gives you a one-time bonus of 5,000 Membership Rewards points when spending $250 with JetBlue.

This offer is only valid for flights originating in the US and appears to be uniquely targeted to consumer Platinum cardholders (at least for now).

• Spend $250+ in one or more transactions directly with JetBlue and get 5,000 Membership Rewards points with a new, targeted Amex Offer.
• Expires 10/18/25

Key Terms

• Only US-issued American Express® Consumer Platinum Cards that are enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program at the time of purchase are eligible.
• Limit of 5,000 additional Membership Rewards® points per eligible Card Member.
• Offer valid for purchases made directly with JetBlue online only at US website jetblue.com, through the JetBlue app, or by calling 1-800-JETBLUE.
• Flights must originate in the US.
• Valid on JetBlue Airways and JetBlue Vacations. In-flight purchases, baggage, pets, cancellation and change fees, phone and chat flight booking fees, taxes, and Business and group travel are included.
• Excludes bookings through travel agencies. Not valid for Terminal 5 transactions at JFK airport, Charters, Corporate Shuttles, Cargo, the purchase of points, booking a parking spot and JetBlue employee Lodge. Excludes shopjetblue.com, Allianz Travel Protection Program, and TrueBlue Travel (formerly Paisly by JetBlue).
• The Offer is only valid for bookings paid for by 10/18/2025, however the travel can occur after the end date for the Offer, provided that the booking was paid for within the applicable Offer period. Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.

Quick Thoughts

If you have paid travel planned with JetBlue, or are in the midst of completing the current 25 for 25 promotion (like Nick), this is a pretty good offer…especially if you can keep the purchase close to $250.

Normally, JetBlue Amex Offers offer cash back as statement credits; it’s been a long time since I can remember there being a points bonus attached to one. We currently estimate the reasonable redemption of Amex Membership Rewards at ~ 1.5 cents each, giving the 5,000-point bonus a value of ~$75. That’s a pretty good return on $250 spend.

This offer is only valid for flights originating in the US, so don’t try to use it for any UK/Caribbean one-ways. It also seems to only be associated with consumer Platinum cards. Both my wife and I found it on our Charles Schwab Platinum cards.
