Yesterday, an eagle-eyed member of our Frequent Miler Insiders Facebook group posted great news: Jetblue now has a 25 for 25 progress tracker, so you can see exactly where you stand in terms of the number of destinations you have completed. I’m not positive how soon after flying the tracker updates, but I am pleased to report that all of my family’s flights so far have tracked as expected.

It is somewhat surprising to see Jetblue add a status tracker so late in this promotion, though I think this was long overdue, and I am glad to see it added. I hated the idea of some folks thinking they had completed the challenge only to find out 2 or 3 weeks into 2026 that something didn’t track properly. Now, that will no longer be an issue.
I also imagine that Jetblue’s customer service representatives have wasted countless cumulative hours counting flight segments for customers who call to check on their progress, and they have dealt with frustration over the confusion about which flights count and which do not. Now, there is no ambiguity, and there is a simple tool for anyone to check their progress. That is a great addition.
I am happy to report that all of the flights my family has taken have counted properly. I have flown to a total of 24 destinations. Meanwhile, my wife and kids have flown to a total of 23 destinations (I flew to Orlando for the Dunkin flight, and they have not flown to Orlando yet).
Out of our 23/24 destinations, 2 have been on Etihad-booked awards. One segment was from Nantucket to New York-Laguardia (which cost us 6,000 Etihad Guest miles despite high cash prices). The other segment was Boston to Milwaukee. That one worked out a little oddly: the booking initially errored out on the payment page. When I re-submitted, Etihad ended up charging me entirely in cash and not taking any miles. I was charged $131.40 per passenger ($525.60 total) for a flight that was around $1,500 at the time via JetBlue. I worried in the moment that something might have gone awry with that booking, and it might have somehow booked into a non-qualifying fare class. However, based on our 23/24 destinations, I know that Milwaukee did indeed count.
I know that many readers have reached out to Jetblue customer service and have been told that Etihad-booked awards don’t count. We know that isn’t true since we have heard from readers who have completed the challenge with Etihad-booked awards, but this tracker really ought to put that fear to rest.
I don’t know how long it will take for the tracker to update after completing a flight, but our most recent flights happened 6 days ago and were included in our tracker, so it seems like it doesn’t take very long to update. Still, I’d give it 2-3 weeks from your last flight to receive the points and status (as per the promo terms) before panicking if something doesn’t track right away.
Overall, this is great news for those chasing 15/20/25 destinations for Jetblue’s 25 for 25.
