Barclays increased the welcome offers on three of the four JetBlue credit cards yesterday. The JetBlue Premier card is offering 80,000 bonus points when meeting the minimum spend requirement, while the Plus and Business cards both have a two-tiered welcome offer with the ability to also earn up to 80,000 bonus TrueBlue points.

Note also the $150 fee per authorized user. While cardholders will get access to JetBlue lounges when those open, the first of two that have been announced is scheduled to open in late 2025. Until JetBlue lounges open, the perks just don't justify the annual fee. Consider the JetBlue Plus card instead, though note that those who have or have had the Plus card aren't eligible for the Premier card. Quick Thoughts
These offers all appear to be the highest ever welcome bonuses available on the cards, although there are a couple of varieties here.
On the JetBlue Premier card, you’ll earn 80,000 bonus points + 5 Tiles after spending $5,000 in your first 90 days of card membership and paying the annual fee. That’s the lowest spend requirement across the three cards in order to earn the 80K bonus points, but it does also come with a high price tag in the form of its $499 annual fee.
That card’s annual fee can be hard to justify, but if you’re interested in earning 80,000 TrueBlue points without such a high annual fee, you have a couple of options. That’s because both the JetBlue Plus and JetBlue Business cards are offering up to 80,000 bonus points.
You’ll earn 60,000 points after spending $1,000 and $2,000 respectively in the first 90 days, then you’ll earn an additional 20,000 points after spending a total of $6,000 within your first year of card membership. To earn the full 80,000 points, you’ll therefore have to meet an additional $1,000 of minimum spend, but you’ll only be on the hook for a $99 annual fee with either card rather than $499 with the Premier card. Both those $99 annual fee cards include a free checked bag for you and up to three traveling companions, a 10% points rebate when booking award flights and more, so they’re good alternatives to the Premier card.

wait. wat happened to the app requiremnts from launch?
T&Cs used to say:
“Cardmembers who currently have or previously had a JetBlue Plus Card are not eligible for this offer.”
but now it says:
“You may not be eligible for this offer if you currently have or previously had an account with us in this program.”
but deep inside the T&C section:
“These bonuses and/or incentives are intended for applicants who are not and have not previously been JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard cardmembers. You understand and agree that you may no longer be eligible for any bonuses and/or incentives in connection with a new JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard Card Account after this Card Account is opened.
If you receive a bonus or incentive for which you are not eligible due to your status as a current or former JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard cardmember, we may revoke the bonus or incentive, or reduce your TrueBlue points by the amount of the bonus or incentive or charge your Card Account for the fair value of the bonus or incentive, at our sole discretion.”
any recent DPs? anyone w/ plus got premier?
P2 got approved a month ago but is still in the process of meeting the minimum spend. Any data points if Barclays will match the new offer, as Chase sometimes does?
Plenty of DPs (including myself) that Barclays won’t ever match offers.
I signed up for the plus card a few weeks ago.
Called Barclays to ask them to match to the higher offer.
Was told that they cant match but supervisor gave me 10k points bonus for the inconvenience!
Thanks Rob. Did you ask for a supervisor or did the front line rep transfer you?
Jet Blue has clearly demonstrated that they are now in the business of selling points, not flights- look at how they have cancelled promotions left and right!
I’m rooting for Nick and everyone else to hit the 25 year status and the 350k points, but I wouldn’t expect to have this “Airline” still in business that long
To be fair, every Airline is in the business of sell points, not flights. Not just Jet Blue.
Have you seen the balance sheet of any airline? Points and miles sales is one of the key businesses that keeps every American airline afloat.
I was just about to write the same thing. I remember receiving 100K mailers from Jet Blue during the pandemic when card issuers where throwing out huge offers to keep people opening up and spending on cards.
I don’t fly JB but maybe this is worth getting. Since it’s Barclays, do you think I could get the personal and the business on the same day?
I saw a successful data point on this, but I’m sure it depends on the applicant.
