Quick Thoughts
Saving $25 each way is a decent deal, especially if you can find some low fares. Note that there are a few restrictions, like a minimum spend of $50 on each one-way segment and the exclusion of Friday and Sunday travel.
In most cases it won’t be hard to hit that $50 spend threshold, but on some routes you might find fares below that. For example, flying from Las Vegas to Los Angeles in October can cost as low as $45 in Blue Basic meaning that fare wouldn’t be eligible for $25 off.
The screenshot above was from a regular search without using the FALLSALE promo code. As you might notice though, that route does have Blue class as an option from $75 one-way. That means that fare class is eligible for the FALLSALE promo code. Somewhat strangely, using the promo code makes it think the normal fare is $73 one-way rather than the $75 when searching without the promo code, so it drops the price to $48, only $3 more than Blue Basic. That’s a great deal since Blue Basic doesn’t include a carry-on – only a personal item – whereas Blue lets you bring a carry-on, provides seat selection, no fee for changes and cancellations, etc.
Note that even though this is valid for travel from September 7 to November 16, you have to book by tonight (August 3), so there’s not long to be able to use this offer.
The promo code drops the base fare, and thus the tax. That’s why it’s worth more than $25.
