It’s Amex Member Week and as a result they released a slew of new Amex Offers yesterday.
One of the most interesting ones is only available on business American Express cards – an offer giving $50 back on $200 spend at Lowe’s. Even if you don’t think you need to shop at a home improvement store before the end of March, there’s still a very good chance that you’ll be able to get great value from this deal as Lowe’s has a comprehensive gift card rack.
The Deal
- Spend $200+ at Lowe’s & get $50 back with an Amex Offer.
Key Terms
- Enroll by March 21, 2025 & purchase by March 31, 2025.
- Offer valid in-store at Lowe’s and online only at US website lowes.com.
- Valid at participating locations in the US.
- Not valid on purchases shipped outside of the US.
- Excludes outlets, e-gift cards, and corporate gift cards.
- Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Quick Thoughts
Saving up to 25% on a purchase at Lowe’s is a great deal if you need to shop there anyway, but it’s also a great deal even if you don’t.
Lowe’s stores have a large gift card rack with a wide array of gift cards. They obviously stock Lowe’s gift cards, but you can also buy Visa and Mastercard gift cards, along with all kinds of third party brands like Apple. I’ve also seen grocery store brands like Kroger and Giant in Lowe’s stores before, as well as gas station gift cards like Shell and BP that normally aren’t available at a large discount. You could therefore buy $200 worth of those for a net cost of $150.

Does Amex get level 3 data from Lowe’s purchase? I have a signup bonus for min spend and I would like to purchase a gift card to meet the min spend. Thanks
Purchased grocery gift cards yesterday, got email confirming redemption couple hours later.
“Even if you don’t think you need to shop at a home improvement store before the end of April…”
End of March.
Thanks – just fixed that
Enjoy the $20 from my Pepper app sign up 😀
Thank you!
Does the corporate gift card exclusion negate some of your gift card suggestions?
No – that’s a separate setup where companies buy a large amount of Lowe’s gift cards and are presumably billed in a different way, thus not triggering the Amex Offer. Buying gift cards in-store isn’t regarded as a corporate gift card purchase.
