Quick Thoughts

It’s important to note that this offer is valid only at properties in the US and US territories, along with Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. It also excludes Marriott Homes and Villas and Design Hotels, along with some other vacation rental brands. The Protea exclusion is redundant since those are outside the US anyway.

Historically, these Marriott Amex offers have been triggered by a gift card purchase at the front desk even though the terms exclude gift cards purchases. It has always been a crap shoot as to whether properties sell gift cards at all…and if they do, whether or not they’ll actually have them in stock (and then whether or not they know how to load them). It’s probably worth calling to see if a location has them before you make a trip to the hotel. In general, higher-end brands seem to stock them more frequently than the Fairfields and Courtyards of the world.

As always, we have added this to our Current Amex Offers database.

Got 20% off upto $50 on a lot of my cards.

I got $50 off $250 on my BCP card, typically how long it takes to credit the cashback, I am planning to downgrade to BCE by end of October
and looking to use the card in Residence Inn by end of this month

$140 back on $350 spend, 8/13/2024. Sweeeeeeet !

Had it on multiple cards yesterday. I didn’t add. They are gone today. 🙁

30% back up to $75 max is what i got on my Marriott biz. Nothing on my plat or gold.

I got the same

My offer – $140 back on $350 spend on Bonvoy Brilliant card. Great timing, have a paid stay this weekend.

Same on Amex Everyday. Go figure. Zilch for P2.

Mine was $75 off $300 on my biz card. Great timing because we are staying Monday night at LAX before a Tuesday morning flight.

I received $40% back, up to a total of $100. I guess they want me to have to do math 😉

got that one too – $250 max purchase 🙂

I have four AMEX charge cards and accidentally hit the “add offer” button on the first one I looked at (business gold). The offer was 20% off up to a total of $50 off. Could one of my other cards have had a better offer, or are the offers generally the same within an account? I seem to recall seeing differing offers across my cards, but I might be wrong.

We got 1 of each of the offer “flavors” on :
P1 = 40% up to $100 back (so $250 earns the $100), no minimum (on a Bus Gold);
P2 = 20% up to $50 back (so $250 earns the $50), no minimum (on a Bus Plat.);
P3 = $140 back on minimum of $350 spend (on an AU Plat.).

P2’s Business Platinum and my BBP were targeted for 40% back up to $100 for same T&C. P3’s personal Gold was targeted for Spend $250 and get $50 back for same T&C. There are more flavors out there.

I got 40% back up to $100

FYI mine is slightly different – $140 off $350+.
Get a one-time $140 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $350 USD in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at participating Marriott Bonvoy® properties in the U.S. and U.S. territories, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean from 5/31/2024 to 8/13/2024. See terms.

My wife’s offer was the same – $140 off $350. Mine was a less valuable but easier to use 20% off up to $50.
