Hyatt is bringing back its popular Miraval promotion to buy one night and get one night free at all Miraval properties for stays booked starting now for stays from November 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. Unfortunately, this time the promotion is not valid on Friday and Saturday nights. That’s a bummer, but if you’re able to stay on weekdays this can nonetheless be a good deal for 2 or 4-night stays.
Note from Greg: I’m reposting this deal because I stayed at Miraval Arizona last week and loved it. If you have enough Hyatt points; and/or Chase Ultimate Rewards points or Bilt points (either of which can be transferred to Hyatt), I highly recommend taking advantage of this deal before its too late (ends Jan 31, 2022). This should now also stack with the latest Hyatt Bonus Journeys promo (get 2,022 bonus points per 2 nights even on award stays).
The Deal
- For a limited time, World of Hyatt World of Hyatt members who redeem World of Hyatt points (starting at 45K per person) for one free night at Miraval Resorts and Spas will get their second night free during that same stay when staying between November 1, 2021, and January 31, 2022.
- Reservations can be made starting October 1, 2021 by calling 866.792.3395 and using offer code Member Free Night at the time of the booking. Members should book both nights at the time of reservation.
Miraval properties & standard award rates
There are three Miraval properties. These are adults-only, all-inclusive, digital-device-free resorts where you are meant to unplug and unwind in luxury. A member of our Frequent Miler Insiders visited the Berkshires location shortly after opening and wrote a review: Hyatt’s Miraval Berkshires Wellness Resort. Bottom Line Review.
As a reminder, these are high-end “wellness resorts” where stays include all meals, some activities, and ordinarily a $175 per night resort credit. Here are the three properties:
In my opinion, the Arizona property looks gorgeous. I’m not even a spa guy but I’d probably enjoy a few days there in the desert. Still, you probably can’t go wrong with any of the three properties. However, they aren’t cheap.
Miraval has its own separate award chart:
As you can see in the chart, the room rates are based on single occupancy. You pay another 20,000 points per night for the second guest (though the second guest also gets a $175 per night credit on normal stays).
BOGO deal gets twice the nights and half the credits
With this promotion, the $175 per person credit only applies on the night paid with points — the free night does not get a credit for either party.
In other words, a 2-night stay for one person will cost 45,000 total points, whereas a 2-night stay for 2 guests will cost 45,000 points + 20,000 = 65,000 points. All meals are covered and each guest would get a $175 credit to use on massages or add-on activities, etc. Note that if you stay 4 nights (paying for 2 nights with points and getting 2 nights for free), each guest will get a $350 credit to use on massages or add-on activities. The nice thing here is that you can use that credit all at once, you don’t need to split it up over separate days.
At a net cost of 65K for two nights for a couple (or 130K points for four nights), that’s still not cheap, but it’s a solid deal for properties that routinely cost a lot of money.
Not valid Fridays or Saturdays
When I saw the email about this promotion, I was planning to call to book my wife and her friend a weekend getaway to the Berkshires property, but unfortunately, the buy-one-get-one deal isn’t valid on Friday and Saturday nights this time around. That’s a bit of a bummer both because it means you can’t turn this promotion into a weekend getaway and because it means that the longest stay you will be able to string together with the deal is 4 nights (Sunday through Thursday or Monday through Friday).
Still, I imagine that for most people a four night stay may be about right if you don’t mind staying on weeknights.
Bottom line
Hyatt has brought back its popular Miraval free night offer where you redeem points for one night and get a second night free. We don’t know how long the promotion will last, but it works for stays from November 1st to January 31, 2022. Unfortunately, it isn’t valid on Friday and Saturday nights this time. Still, if you’re looking to unplug for a high-end-relaxation getaway, this could be a great way to do it.
Had to cancel my trip to the Miraval Austin due to covid, but they then allowed us to rebook to January 31. Yes, very hard to get hold of them. I suggest to keep calling. They had no problem extending our days out a couple of weeks.
We are really looking forward to this trip.
I have called several times, been put on hold and then asked to leave my information to have them call me back. No return call. And it now looks like no one is there today. Anyone have any luck with this???
same – maybe they don’t staff the reservation lines on the weekend?
I called both Saturday and Sunday and got through fairly quickly.
When did you call? I got through them around 10AM Eastern last couple of days after reasonable amount of wait time. They were all very helpful in making reservation and booking activities.
Yesterday around 1pm central
UPDATE: They called me back over the weekend and I was able to get reservations. Unfortunately, the lower rates were gone (or not available) for the time I needed to be there so we paid 95000 points per night but for upgraded rooms. I still think it’s worth it and I can’t wait to go! Thanks Nick for telling us about this opportunity!
How far does $350 go at a Miraval? An hour massage?
I remember I got a haircut, massage, Pedi and Mani for 2 days of credit
There is a mistake in “or 130K points for two nights”. Should say FOUR nights.
