Last week, Plastiq sent out an email to those who have used Capital One credit cards for payments alerting them to the fact that Capital One has asked Plastiq to temporarily suspend the processing of payments on Capital One credit cards. Hopefully, this is a temporary issue.
Here’s an excerpt from the email sent:
As you know, Capital One has asked us to temporarily suspend processing of payments with their cards. We’re working closely with them to remedy the situation and will reach out as soon as we have an update for you.
Hopefully this is indeed a temporary issue. Interestingly, when there were temporary restrictions put on payments via personal Visa cards last year (since resolved), Capital One Visa cards were not affected. I’m not sure that there is any connection here, I just find it interesting to see Capital One payments treated differently than other issuers again. If and when we hear news of any update on this, we will post an update.
Do you mean that Plastiq sent the email? I didn’t get anything from Cap1.
