A couple of weeks ago, Hilton provided more details about how Hilton Aspire, Surpass and Business card quarterly or twice-annual credits would work when booking stays at their new (to them) AutoCamp and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) brands.
Off the back of that post, a few people had asked whether it would be possible to redeem Hilton gift cards at those brands. We contacted Hilton to get confirmation as to whether or not that would be possible and have now received an answer. Unfortunately, the answer isn’t positive, although there is a glimmer of hope in there.
Hilton gift card purchases have become increasingly popular since late 2023 which is presumably why a number of people had asked about those. The reply we received from Hilton was as follows:
We understand that our Hilton Honors members and guests may have questions about using Hilton gift cards, particularly as our partnerships with SLH and AutoCamp continue to grow. However, we would like to clarify that Hilton gift cards are not currently accepted at SLH or AutoCamp locations at this time.
As you can see, Hilton gift cards can’t be redeemed at either of those two brands. However, the inclusion of the word ‘currently’ in the final sentence gives just a little bit of hope that at some point the partnership might be developed enough that gift cards will be redeemable at all those new properties in the Hilton portfolio.
For now though, you’ll have to redeem Hilton gift cards at their other brands, or pay for charges at SLH and/or AutoCamp properties with your Hilton Business or Surpass card(s) to make use of the $60 and $50 quarterly credits respectively.
[…] Note: As we’ve heard, Hilton Honors members can now book AutoCamp properties directly through Hilton as well as earn and redeem points. However, they cannot use Hilton gift cards at AutoCamp locations. […]

Where can you buy hilton gift cards that count towards your quarterly credit card spend on amex aspire etc and 200 annual spend ? Thank you
Thanks for confirming this, this is useful info!
I tried at resortsworld in Vegas both the Conrad and Crockfords were declined. Am I missing something?
Now the question is, can you use your Aspire resort credit at SLH….
It was answered in prior post, the answer is no
Not yet. I have a booking at the Lodge, SLH property in Seattle, called them to ask about Aspire credit, told me no. I am still planning to use my Aspire card for the incidentals and see what happens. by the way none of the SLH properties are shown when you do HitonResorts.com
I don’t mean to be rude, but a lot of Hilton branded properties – particularly those outside of the US – have difficulties using these gift cards at all; I’m not sure what would’ve given people the indication that Hilton partners would be able to use these gift cards.
Additionally, gift cards denominated in US Dollars will be converted to the property’s home currency at the hotel’s own conversion rate, which is almost always beyond terrible. Complaints to corporate about exchange rates will be met with: “That’s a pricing issue and we can’t help.” The best practice is to use them inside the US.
I had good luck at a property in Korea; they took it and the exchange rate was the interbank rate.
Funny, Hilton partners with AMEX on these, which should ostensibly give more flexibility than a GiveX style platform. And yet, no redeeming benefit to using AMEX. Try again Hilton.
Can i buy a $50 gift card with my aspire card and get the quarterly credit to use later? That would be huge
Yes, there’s a small fee to mail it but it works.
